How To Use
STEP 1 – PRE-COLOURING: Remember to be colour safe and always do your patch test 48 hours before using this L'Oreal Preference silver hair dye, even if you have already used colouring products before. Please follow the instruction leaflet and read the safety information.
STEP 2 – PREPARATION: Cover your shoulders with a towel and put on the gloves. Open the colouring bottle and pour it entirely into the developer bottle. Close with the applicator tip and shake it to obtain a completely even mixture. Twist off the applicator tip immediately to avoid bursting and damage from the product overflowing.
STEP 3 – APPLY COLOUR: Part your hair into small, even sections and apply the silver grey hair dye. Refer to instructions for development time. Apply conditioner that preserves the silver hair colour and then rinse thoroughly.

BRING BACK P67 PURE SCARLET

Extremely disappointed that Loreal Preference changed their range and ceased production for L'Oréal Paris Préférence Permanent Hair Colour - P67 Pure Scarlet. I used this colour for 5 years and it was perfect.
I've attempted to use cherry red from their new "vivids" range, and it fades horribly in comparison to pure scarlet. Nothing has changed in my routine, but cherry red fades on my ends and leaves me with random orange parts, making my hair look uneven in colour after just a week. Pure scarlet would last 6 weeks! I'm so disappointed the range has changed and I think I'll need to find a new brand and colour that had the quality of the old range with pure scarlet.

Lovely end result colour, horrible smell !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gorgeous red colour but it had a horrible chemical smell whilst processing that was strong to me so a well ventilated room is a must. The dye itself I found to be quite runny so caution is required, alongside the terrible gloves, like very cheap black bin liners which ripped as I tried to put them on and were far too long in the fingers, so I ended up using some of my own instead. Once on the dye didn't irritate my scalp like some can and the included conditioner left my hair feeling soft and smelling flowery. Overall not one I think I would use again which is a shame as the colour really is nice.

This comes out so much redder than the pictures. I have dark brown hair and this came This comes out so much redder than the pictures. I have dark brown hair and this came out very dark but very bright red and not very brown - it looked liked I’d coloured my hair in with a red pen. Also the colour takes forever to stop running out of your hair - I have washed it 7 times now and the water and shampoo when I wash my hair is still a reddy pinky colour and its still staining my towels when I dry my hair

I am surprised how good it turned out

On an impulse last weekend I bought the cherry red and applied two boxes on my hair. After blow drying and looking in the mirror for the first time, I had a severe whooaaa reaction. It’s bright and VIVID. I’m happy with the result. Looking forward to see if it lasts for a few weeks…
Cons: low viscosity (a bit difficult to apply and easily makes a mess), difficult to wash it out after application (but I used two boxes), keeps staining your towels when damp against best OCD-level efforts.

L'Oréal Cherry Red Hair Dye Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cherry red colour was easy to mix with the simple step by step instructions. When the colour was extremely vibrant when applied on the hair. The texture was smooth and the dye wasn't too thin but was thick making it easy to spread over the hair which I liked as there was less mess. The fragrance also was very light too and never had a over powering smell of chemicals. Once washed with the give products in the box my hair felt luxuriously smooth and soft and wasn't dehydrated with this dye. The colour gave my hair a gorgeous shine and silky appearance. Overall I would say L'Oréal dye has to be my number 1 favourite in terms of hair dye and I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends who want to dye their hair at home and save money as its super easy and you get fast effective results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this product, it was easy to apply by myself and didn't stink, it wasn't too difficult to remove from the skin but my glove broke and the red dye stayed on my hand for 2 days. I had previously dyed my hair brown 2 months back and the red dye was very bright on my roots and undyed hair compared to dyeing it onto the previously dyed hair. I really like the colour, it shines really nicely in the sun. I would definitely use this colour again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cherry Red is a lovely warm red suitable for warm skin tones. I have highlights in my hair and this picked them up beautifully. The rest of my hair is black and the effect there was much subtler. If you are using this all over your hair, I recommend reducing the time you leave the product in at the roots of your hair if you want to avoid “hot roots”. The formula works well and isn’t too harsh. The gloves and conditioner were excellent quality.

I have pretty dark brown hair and when its bleached it goes NUTS and takes MONTHS to get back to normal so I figured I would try this without bleach and HOLY- MY HAIR IS RED!! It's pretty bright too! Like I left it on minimum time and its working SO well. Gonna need to buy this one again! It also isn't fading too quickly which is really good! The conditioner smells great and leaves my hair super soft. I am SO glad I ignored the bad reviews.

Vivid colour and shine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I trialled this Preference Cherry Red Vivid Colours home hair colouring kit 2 weeks ago and have been extremely pleased with the result so far and have had quite a few compliments, both to the colour which is a vibrant red, and to my hairs condition and shine. I had never used a gel before, and found the product easy to apply with a non drip formula and a very easy application which covered root to tip evenly. After leaving it in for 30 minutes, I also found it washed out quickly without leaving a residue. The scent of the dye wasn't too strong and it also came with a good sized tube of conditioner which I am still using twice a week My hair feels light and is in great condition. The hairdye is enriched with Vitamin E and has a UV filter. It definitely lives up to it's shinier hair promise. I will be using this product and colour shade again.

Ok but not my favourite

This didnt go as bright as my usual one but also it wasnt as dark as some. It was ok but i doubt i will be changing from my usual preference. It did leave my hair feeling soft and the smell was pleasant. Overall my hair felt in good condition i just wasnt as pleased with the colour

My hair is naturally dark bown, so I wasn't expecting more than a tint of red - but it's bright red, much brighter than the colour on the box. It looks like I bleached my hair before using this dye. I did leave it on for a few minutes longer than recommended, so that could be why. Overall I'm really impressed by this product and excited to keep using it.

Vibrant Longlasting Colour

The product was easy to mix and apply and did not leave my scalp feeling tight or sore as some other home colours have. Once i had rinsed out the colour the conditioning shot left my hair so soft and glossy. I have had lots of comments on my hair since and will definitely be using this shade again!

The two part colouring cream is extremely runny which made a lot of mess whilst colouring my hair. The cream stained a lot of my face a scalp but did come off after a little scrubbing. The colour is great and very vibrant and will definitely use again, but next time will be more careful!

Once my hair was dry the coverage was great and even my stray grey hairs fully covered. I often find dyes leave my hair feeling very brittle and dry but this one was better than others ive used

The only problem is the colour doesn’t last too well and fades away quite quickly. Pretty much every wash of my hair it was running red! It leaves your hair feeling in good condition though and is not drying. I would use it again.

A bright and daring colour!

Only problem i find are the gloves are alitte small, i wouldn't say i had nog hands either. It came out a good colour not a bright as the box shows as my hair is quite dark.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] L’Oreal preference is the best hair dye I’ve used. It leaves my hair feeling silky, glossy and healthy.
The colour is so vibrant, even on dark hair. Looked salon dyed. It was very easy to apply at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasnt too impressed with this hair colour. It didnt turn out the colour i was hoping for. It was more like a browny red. The colour also did not last very long as i have had to get it done again since
