Préférence L’Oréal Paris Préférence Ultra Platinum 9L

I was given this product to try free of charge in return for my honest opinion.
I liked the ease of use of the product it was simple to mix and applied well . I think the fact that it lifted my hair well without damage was a great benefit . The two drawbacks I had were that there wasn’t enough in the box for my entire head and I only have a chin length bob . So I could not do my roots two which meant I had to try get a darker root to smudge the top for a cover up for parts that I got a little on the root colour . That aside I felt the overall finish was a little brassy and there was no toner in the pack which is something you need to purchase also so at $28 a box they are getting pretty steep .

Used the dye at home and I look like a tiger!
I followed the instructions and left on for 35 minutes.
Called the hotline for advice and they advised I need colour correction. Not what I expected and do not recommend this product. The colour is inconsistent.

I used Preference bleach and bought the Preference toner at the same time. I keep my hair very short. The bleach does turn my hair orange but the toner always works to do its job. I called the 1300 number and they gave me excellent advise. You can use the toner after the bleach in the same hair colouring session. Which isn’t in the product information. You have to wash the bleach out and partially dry your hair without the conditioner. Then apply the toner for 5 mins and after washing that out apply the conditioner. I got an excellent result. The ladies on the phone recommended that and it worked beautifully. I recommend these products are used together as I’ve described.

This colour is super easy to mix and very easy to apply to my hair evenly. The product didn’t burn or irritate my skin and was easy to wash out. The conditioner makes the coloured hair smell very nice and leaves these hair soft and shiny without making the hair look dry and unhealthy. I think I did a good job with spreading the colour around my hair and head and don’t have any visible patches that aren’t in the same colour. The hair colour now after colouring it from natural dark blond is very white blond, no yellow or brown/orange parts.

Used on previously black box dyed hair and virgin level 3 dark brown hair. Left on for 45 minutes with the result of dark-medium yellow on my virgin hair and medium-light orange on my previously black box dyed ends.

Pro's:
Lightened really well for a single bleach and applied easily for an overall consistent colour. Product was semi-runny and was easy to apply but thick enough to use a tint brush and a bowl without spilling everywhere. Hair was very dry as expected but not as dry as I have encountered previously bleaching my dark hair as I needed at least 2 applications to get this result on my box dyed black hair.

Con's:
Purple conditioner did nothing in terms of colour, didn't really help hydrate the hair as much as I expected. Not enough bleach in a single box for a full head application, I only bleached the underside at the back and the sides of my hair and JUST had enough bleach to finish this section with full saturation.

Because there was not enough product in one box to even do my full head on chin-length hair this had to be given 3 stars, along with the fact that the purple conditioner did nothing at all to combat yellow tones as advertised.

If you are willing to buy multiple boxes or only want to do a small portion of your hair and you would like to colour or tone your hair afterwards to remove the brassy tones this is actually a really great product.

This L'Oreal hair dye is my new favourite! To start off the shade range the brand offers is impeccable and very versatile to be all inclusive. The package I used was very informative, provided clear instructions and made dying my hair at home a breeze.
My colour payoff was amazing and I have already purchased another box to use.

The colour covered alot of dark spots I was producing from regrowth and greys too. I feel fresh and beautiful with my new hair colour!

So I accidentally signed up for this product not paying attention. My hair was too dark for the recommendation however I did it anyway. I can solidly confirm this is one of the best bleach products I have ever used. It mostly certainly has done the least damage to my hair compared to all the other products including at a hair dresser. It would have produced amazing results if my hair was lighter. I would recommend this product to someone interested in doing this.

I recently tested L'ORÉAL Paris Ultra Platinum Bleach, and I have to say, the results were pretty impressive. The bleach lifted my hair to a bright, bold platinum, even though my hair was quite dark to begin with. Application was fairly easy with its creamy, non-drip consistency, making the process less messy. I followed the instructions carefully and found that it didn’t leave my hair as dry as I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise.

That said, it’s definitely strong, so if your hair is already damaged or fine, I’d recommend being cautious. After bleaching, I used a purple shampoo to tone down any brassiness, which really helped achieve a cooler blonde. Overall, I was happy with how it turned out, but taking care of your hair post-bleach is a must to keep it healthy. For anyone wanting to go ultra-light, this is a solid option!
