Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have to say out of the Range of the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay products this Dry Shampoo is my favourite by far! It is way Beyond any other Dry SHampoo I have every used!! From the fact it doesn't have that disgusting Dry Shampoo smell that stands out in a crowd to the horrible feel of a usual Dry Shampoo it just doesn't have it which is fantastic! YET it is just as effective if not more so than any other Dry Shampoo I have used in the past.I also love the size of the product which makes it great for on the go as it is not to big and bulky! Great for gym bag, in the car of just traveling in general BIG HIT!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst dry shampoo I've tried I love dry shampoo's as my hair gets oily so this is my one day refresh inbetween washes but I was highly disappointed with it. The bottle is a good compact size to take on travel that is not too big or too small either but for everyday use is a tad too small. No matter what I did and how far away I kept the spray it left grey/white sections on my hair which is frustrating as my hair is dark. It also did not take away any of the oiliness at all. I think it made my hair look dirty and unwashed instead of clean and fresh and I felt yuck wearing it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dry shampoo is by far my favourite of all the dry shampoo's I've tried. My go-to used to be Batiste but this has now climbed to the top. It most definitely refreshed my hair on the 'no-wash days' of my hair washing cycle and it has most definitely saved me plenty of times at the gym. I can honestly say that the dry shampoo soaked up my oil in an instant, it smells lovely and gave my hair a just washed/blowdried feel. It was light and airy and best of all, did not leave any grey/coloured powdery residue. I would most definitely recommend this dry shampoo as a go-to to all my family and friends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I would be the first to admit that I rarely use dry shampoo because I’m not a fan of being left with white powdery looking roots after I use them or the weird smell that some of them have. There were no sign of snow in my hair after I had used it and it smells beautiful. The 150ml size can is the perfect size to pop in your bag or for travel. I am impressed and it looks like I am a fan of dry shampoo after all.\n\nThe spray is light but it did soak up the excess oil on my hair. My hair had extra volume and I did get an extra day out of it before washing so I am happy with the end result. \n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The dry shampoo comes in a metal spray can with a clear blue lid. I aim the can about 30 cm away from my head and spray the dry shampoo on the roots of my hair. I let the product soak up all the oils from my hair strands for about 5 minutes while I do my makeup. Then I comb through and get rid of any chalky white powder. The dry shampoo soaks up all the oils from my hair and gives the roots a bit of volume. It also gives my hair a bit of grit and texture from styling. The dry shampoo smells fresh and clean but the fragrance is quite strong and interferes with my perfume. I wish they'd tone down the fragrance so my (very expensive) perfume can shine through. This would be a maybe repurchase item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great quality dry shampoo. Lo'real products always deliver and I got great results from using this. It makes a great blow dry last that extra day, it absorbs oil brilliantly and gives lift and volume. This does not leave a powdery residue which is a huge bonus and as I have dark hair I was pleasantly surprised that i could not detect any white powder left behind. so easy to use, just spray on roots and hair, leave two minutes and brush out for brilliant results, clean looking hair that is easy to style. Loving the addition of clay to absorb oil, so effective, it also smells nice, so clean and fresh. This is a great product to extend a shampoo and to give lift and volume, I highly recommend it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was lucky enough to trial this for the ReviewCrew. The packaging appealed to me straight away. A slim and easy to grasp bottle in a pretty mint green shade. I actually barely needed to use this at all as the shampoo and Conditioner of this range were so effective at keeping my hair oil free and fresh! I did however give it a fair trial on days my hair was looking a little lack lustre. I found it dispersed evenly and easily and left my hair smelling gorgeous . My hair felt fuller and looked freshly washed after applying.  There was no white chalky residue on my dark brown hair after application as most dry shampoos leave.Just shiny, soft and pleasantly scented hair! Would buy in future if I need a dry shampoo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I trialled this dry shampoo in conjunction with the other products in the Elvive Extraordinary Clay range. The dry shampoo works similarly to other dry shampoos, but targets those with especially oily roots. I found that the product did eliminate the unwanted oiliness and extent the time between washes, but I found it did leave some unwanted ‘greyish’ residue on my dark brown hair. I found I could reduce this is I applied before bed and let settle overnight. But I feel that this product is better suited for lighter hair colours. I really liked the results of the Extraordinary Clay range, however unlike the other products I don’t think I would re-purchase the dry shampoo as I don’t think it is suited to dark hair colours.

Top 5 ways To Use A Hair Oil

Not sure how to handle hair oils? Don’t worry, we'll show you how to use them—even on fine hair.

Our tresses go through a lot on a daily basis— everything from hot water to straightening can leave hair feeling brittle and parched. Try using hair oil as a pre-shampoo prep. Moisturising the strands before washing will help it retain its natural oils. Just add an extra step of applying hair oil before you shower and follow with shampoo and conditioner as usual. We promise, you’ll see the difference.

When you have fine hair, it’s easy to tip over into heavy handed territory with styling products. Unfortunately, doing so weighs hair down and gives it an overly oily sheen. Instead of piling on the products, apply a coin-sized amount of hair oil onto dry ends, steering clear of your roots. This way, you can enjoy silky shine without the added weight.

It’s hard to get your at-home blowouts to match salon styled waves. While it may well be because the hairdryer is a finicky tool to master, there are other secret tricks of the trade to elevate your DIY look. The easiest hack is to add hair oil into the mix (and a heat protectant). Apply to damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush. Finish with a spritz of lightweight hair spray to lock in that smooth shine!

If you’re a victim of hat hair or the dreaded humid hair poof, you’re definitely not alone. Unruly hair plagues us all from time to time, but thankfully hair oil can help tame frizz and flyaways. Rub one to two pumps of hair oil between your palms, running it through the lengths of your hair. Once you only have a tiny amount left, smooth it over the top of your scalp – enough to keep any fine baby hairs in place but not so much that it looks greasy.

Although a trim is the only real solution for eliminating split ends (for now), you can still help protect your strands on a daily basis with a dash of hair oil. Incorporating it as part of your regular hair care routine could make all the difference in delaying your next visit to the salon. Put it on wet or dry hair—both work!

The L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Treatment is enriched with 6 precious flower oils, designed as an instant pick me up for parched hair.

Everything You Need To Know About
Purple Shampoo

We may never really know if blondes have more fun. Nevertheless, whether you’re bottle blonde or naturally blessed, you know there’s a fair bit of upkeep involved to keep the good times rolling. The key to keep your hair hues looking icy? A purple shampoo.

What is purple shampoo?
It’s exactly what it says on the bottle. A shampoo with purple pigments that keep brassy undertones at bay. Consider it your DIY tune-up to keep your new hue looking flawless for longer.

How does purple shampoo work?
While the concept of purple shampoo might sound a little crazy, it all comes back to colour theory. Purple is directly opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so the purple pigments neutralises any unwanted yellows brought out by things like sun or heat styling. While it won’t actually change the colour of your hair, it addresses the tone and nixes the brassiness. It’s basically your at-home toner.

How does purple shampoo fit in my routine?
Coloured shampoos should be used in conjunction with your regular shampoo and conditioning routine instead of replacing them entirely. If you're washing your hair thrice a week, introduce purple shampoo for the fourth wash. Overdoing the purple shampoo can leave hair colour looking dull and drap, which is the opposite of what you want!
All-over blondes will find the top of the hair more golden than the ends, so we recommend applying a concentrated amount of purple at the crown and letting it run out as you lather and rinse. The ends will catch the colour (they don't need as much anyway), so let it drizzle through.

Do I need purple shampoo?
Blonde hair does need more maintainence, but purple shampoo works across the colour spectrum. Dark hair is more prone to brassiness due to the amount of melanin it has, so brunettes will find purple shampoo surprisingly useful to get rid of those warm hues.

Where do I find purple shampoo?
Right here. Meet the brand NEW Elvive Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo, designed to hydrate, tone and revive coloured hair.
