How To Use

Sure in a Quick Fix between colourings!

The kit looked like a mini-colouring kit when opened, with solution, colour, gloves etc, but everything mini sized! Pleasantly surprised how quick and easy to use with the comb dispenser which made it easy to apply and work into the roots. And only a 10 minute wait time! Pretty much a non-drip formula as well, so not much mess. Just be careful when using the brush to work it in, I did manage to flick little bits around. Very easy to rinse out, and very pleased with the results. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts, as I colour my hair at home and it really is such a chore (but so much cheaper than a salon visit!)

It doesn't last that long

I bought two of the magic retouch permanent product, in brown, the idea is really good, and it's much cleaner and easier that the L'oreal permanent Hair dye normal box, but I'm afraid it doesn't last that long as it says in the box, after a week, the color fades and it looks like I need to do that again. So I used the second box, this time, just to make sure that I did not miss any steps, and again after a week, I could see my roots again, so until the formula of this product is improved, I won't buy it again, I will carry one using L'Oréal Magic Retouch Instant Root Concealer Spray, thanks

Applied yesterday, easy to apply. Disappointed though it had a strong chemical smell. Day 2 and my skin is itchy.

Magic indeed

My hair feels like it needs a colour every week, and this does the trick. I was so not going to believe it. I feel that in normal circumstances after a colour at home, I would see re-growth two weeks later. So I would have to plan my colours around events and whom might be in attendance. This is not that bad. it's handy and the little comb is cute and while not a great help initially, I worked out that it's great to use after applying for a more all over impact. Maybe I'm terrible at home colours, but this does improve the odds of me not looking like a clown.

Does the job but not convenient as spray

It's similar to normal dyeing hair process. i.e. you have to mix the developer and colouring cream in the provided bottle and shake to combine. Then leave in the hair to develop before washing. The quantity is not much & the coverage is just ok. Given the price is not significantly cheaper, I'd rather to buy the standard full box to do the job properly. The comb applicator is not as useful as I have long hairs & got tangled. The worst thing is the horrible chemical smell. It's not certainly not a quick fix like a spray.

It does exactly what you want it to do !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already use the temporary root spray which is extremely good at hiding my grey and natural roots and blending in completely with my choice of hair colourant. So, I was eager to try this permanent retouch too. It's very easy to mix. The applicator allows you to use it exactly where its required so there's no mess. the waiting time is short and it covers up all my grey roots. I only did it a week ago, so I can't as yet agree with the details on the box that says it will last for 4 weeks. However, L'Oreal never make false claims , so I'm convinced it'll see me through as advised.
And it is a great product ! And I can thoroughly recommend it. But for simple ease, I shall still continue to use the L'Oreal Magic Touch spray. So please, please, L'Oreal don't discontinue it !!!

Best Retouch Ever!

I have tried so many retouch, grey root coverage brands and this would be the most effective and long lasting. With L’Oreal Retouch Permanent it is truly MAGIC. The mess - free applicator is so easy to use. 10 minute quick fix is all it is. Coverage is definitely 100%. I was provided with 2 Soft Black which match my hair. It’s Fast.Easy.Mess Free. I have thick long hair and 1 application is enough. Thank you Home tester Club, I have finally found, what I’m looking for!!!

Easy and quick

Absolutely in love with this product, their is nothing to not like about it, it's easy to mix the brush applicator is just so good, the wait time after application is only 10 minutes compared to 20 to 30 if you did a full head of color, I am sold on this product, its the best root touch up I have ever used and I will continue to use it.
Coverage and color match to my hair was spot on, my hair looks amazing, it was quick to apply with the brush which made it so easy.
