Is tinted serum the same as BB cream?
BB cream and tinted serums are similar but not the same. Both provide sheer coverage and skincare benefits, but BB cream often includes SPF and acts more like a moisturiser with pigment. Tinted serums focus more on active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, delivering hydration and glow with a buildable tint.
Is tinted serum better than foundation?

Is L'Oréal Serum foundation water-based?
No, the L'Oreal Paris True Match Serum Foundation is silicone-based, not water-based. While our True Match serum foundation does contain water as a primary ingredient, it also includes dimethicone, a type of silicone. Despite this, the formula combines serum and foundation benefits to hydrate the skin and provide coverage without clogging pores - similar to a water-based foundation.
Do you put serum foundation on before or after moisturiser?
It's best to apply your serum foundation after moisturiser, just like you would a regular foundation or BB cream. This ensures your skin is properly hydrated and the serum foundation applies smoothly, for a radiant, natural finish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the product when I first received it but it was far too dark for my skin tone, not the fault of the foundation but it was the palest sample available at the time. I then tried it again after mixing it with some adjuster drops and it was better, it didn't cake on the first or second application which other foundation can do but I have extremely red and blotchy skin so have to apply more than most people and on the third attempt it did start to cake and didn't really cover the red either. Overall I think if I had great skin it would be perfect but unfortunately I haven't so I'm not sure if this foundation is for me

My skin but better!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn’t sure what to expect from this product as I have very oily skin but I have really enjoyed using it. I am 34 and find a lot of products are starting to look cakey on my skin so this really works wonders. It’s lightweight but you can add more for extra coverage and it really applies flawlessly with fingers. It’s so quick and blends into my skin so well, providing a skin like but flawless base. I don’t have a lot of skin issues but it covers discolouration and just makes me look fresh and radiant. I add a touch of lighter concealer under my eyes and set it all with loose powder and it does wear pretty well over the day. I do get oily but still look presentable and a quick dusting with powder and I’m good to go again.

This tinted serum is absolutely perfect for everyday wear as it leaves skin brightened, smooth and naturally more youthful looking and I’m talking immediate results. I used with L’Oreal true match powder and a setting spray to see if i would stay looking fresh faced all day in this humid weather and I can assure you after sweating and blotting face with kitchen roll all day it actually stayed put. WOW!! I also used my fingers to apply as I would any other serum. Yet another amazing product from L’Oreal. Thanks guys I truly love it.

Great plumping serum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great serum, due to hyaluronic acid which plumps and evens out my skin. It is very easy to apply and applications can be layered to increase its coverage. The colour 4-5 medium was a bit too dark for me, so I will go for a lighter version next time. It also does not have any SPF, which I will never go without, so I am using this on top of my moisturiser with SPF in order to get the necessary protection. That seems to defeat the purpose of this product to some extent though. But this is still a great product and I will continue using it.

Favourite lightweight foundation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been absolutely loving this foundation! It blends out so quickly and easily, it’s really sped up my makeup routine in the morning. It looks super natural and can even build up to a decent coverage. I’ve got some coverage drops which I add in when I want fuller coverage too. I’ve purchased a back up as I don’t want to be left without it. I thought it might not suit my oily skin but it lasts all day with a touch up. Since I’ve been using it nearly everyday my skin feels more hydrated, so I’m noticing the skin care benefits too.

Good coverage, silky skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally use L’Oréal tinted moisturiser and L’Oréal serum so this is a great addition to my skincare/makeup routine as it combines both together. I was worried the shade would be too dark for my pale skin but it actually blended in perfectly and was a good colour match. My skin looked well covered afterwards, felt smooth and didn’t look heavy or clogged like some foundations can be. It was easy to apply and blended well. I’m really happy with this product and my skin had a nice glow to it

Left skin looking soft and hydrated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really enjoyed trying out the plumping tinted serum. I have very oily skin and in the past I have found that tinted products have never really worked for my skin. But this tinted serum worked really well for me. It gave me a very natural finish. I tried it for the whole day and I really liked how my skin felt throughout the day. The shade was perfect for my skin. The only thing I would change is the applicator I would have preferred it in a pump bottle as it did become a little messy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to trying this it sounded great, I thought it would be great for an everyday coverage which it is but if you have dry skin it just seems to cling to it and accentuate it even more, I really thought it would have had the opposite effect and helped my dry skin, but it didn’t. The shade is a little darker than expected , I’m going to mix it with a little moisturiser to see if it lightens it somewhat. I really liked the idea of this but it’s hit or miss for me.
