Revitalift Laser Glycolic Acid Cleanser

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the L 'Oreal Paris Revitalift Derm Intensives with 3.5% Glycolic Acid Cleanser for 2 weeks straight and there was a visible difference. My skin was much smoother and I only experienced breakouts due to that time of the month. I did notice the breakouts were under the surface & I didnt get whiteheads as I have in the past. I will say this, I have oily skin and it does leave my skin feeling dry. Im not used to that, however, in the AM I pair with Vitamin C products & a moisturizer. At night I pair the product with a retinol serum and moisturizer. I use a toner both times to achieve the results I want. Overall, my skin is overall smoother and even toned using this product.

I feel that this was my skin adjusting to a cleanser finally doing what it was supposed to do - effectively cleansing my face while helping to regenerate and prep my skin for the face serum. I noticed it helped to ensure all makeup residue was gone, noticeable brightened my skin and did not leave it feeling dry like some cleansers do. I was worried about sensitivity some but I did not have any issues! I have to say this product will be one that I will continue to use in my nightly skin care regimen for years to come.

I was a little skeptical as to whether this product would suit my skin or not as it can be sensitive and a little dry at times however I have been pleasantly surprised to an extent. The gel wash has a nice consistency and it lathers well. It has a menthol smell which was strange at first but that I grew to like. It feels lovely and cooling when applied and left my face feeling lovely and smooth however unfortunately a little dry in places. I do think it could be quite drying if used regularly over an extended period of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have non-acneic, normal to dry skin with tiny pores. That combo gives my skin its smooth appearance. I was concerned that my skin would not like this product because of the glycolic acid. Glycolic acid is not necessary for my skin type at all. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't cause my skin any problems. When I use it, I can feel a slight cool tingling feeling. After washing, my skin felt clean and not dried out.

It is not as harsh as I thought it would be! Thank goodness!

Note: This cleanser is not recommended to be used in the eye area, but you can wash behind your ears.

The guidelines say to utilize it consistently two times per day , yet this is simply excessively , and again and again , It caused. Snugness and horrendous clear stripping in my skin in the wake of involving once every day for 3 sequential days which implies it really does finish the work of shedding and stripping . I really like using the L'Oréal Revitalift resurfacing gel Wash. It does a fantastic job at removing makeup and cleansing the face and you only need a tiny bit of cleanser - a little goes a long way with this product, very reasonably priced, has a pleasant smell and leaves my skin feeling clean and taught. I like that the product is in a tube and I often had more product than I needed because the cleanser is runny and comes out quite quickly. This cleanser would be perfect in a pump bottle to. I would highly recommend this face wash, especially at this price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This face wash is a very thick formula. A little goes a long way and it lathers nicely. Its nice to feel the wash cover your face completely to know youre getting an even cleanse. This wash was almost fragrance free but there was a medical grade odor to it. This wash was mild for my skin and when my face was patted dry it felt very clean. After using this wash my face skin had a nice even base for the serum which is the purpose of this wash. My skin did get dry in my chin area but was not irritated and only lasted two days and than my face texture was smooth and balanced out.

I used it and the gel is so beautiful on the skin and is so moisturising. The gel wash leaves my skin glowing. It’s incredible! It’s made my skin look and feel so much healthier. L’Oréal Really revived my skin and for that - thank you! What a difference. It gives my skin a deep clean feeling which is unlike other face washes I’ve been using recently. I like how it removes dead skin cells and doesn’t exfoliate by using scratchy bits in. (I’m still sure brands that do that - it causes wrinkles?) This is a lovely experience to use while refreshing my skin. It’s so clean and healthy looking. I have told everyone about this. It’s a game changer and now will be using this from now on. As I’m now 43, I’m aware my skin has changed texture and skin tone. This has revived my skin and made it look and feel younger. I highly recommend using the Revitalift 5% Pure Glycolic Acid Peeling Toner after washing your face to make it feel like you have had a facial treatment! Stunning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I Love Trying New Skincare Products. I Really Wanted To Like This, But I Had To Stop Using This After The First Week Of Testing It. I Stopped Using All Of My Regular Skin Care Products (Other Than Moisturizer, And Spf), Because I Wanted To See How Just This, And The Retinol Would Perform. I Regularly Use A Glycolic Acid Product, And A Retinol Everyday, So My Skin Is Used To These Two Main Ingredients. After Only One Week Of Using This My Skin Was So Dehydrated That I Had To Stop Using It.

I'm Not Saying That This Is Necessarily A Bad Product... It Just Was Not For Me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have normal (somewhat combination) skin. The product states to use the gel every day AM and PM, followed by the serum at night. Typically I use my Niacinamide + Zinc and then moisturize, but I added this into my routine. It made my skin feel soft initially, but I noticed in the morning that my skin was very sensitive to any products. I never have flaky skin, but have noticed that from far away my skin looks great but close up, I have flaky patches everywhere. I dont wear foundation so it is easy for me to cover the flaky patches with powder but I dont like having them at all. While I love the cleanser gel and the serum, I think it should only be used a couple times per week if you have normal skin like mine.

I know this is intended to be used on the face but i'm just loving it on my body! The exfoliation form the Glycolic acid in it leaves my skin so extremely soft & ready to absorb the moisturiser I put on after my shower. If your going to a special function or its just summertime & you want your skin to glow, then I would recommend using this on your legs & arms. Im not a fan of mechanical exfoliants, they remove the good cells with the bad & do more damage than good, so a chemical exfoliant that looses the glue between the cells to gently remove them is the way too go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try this product, although I didnt know anything about glycolic acid. Instructions simply say to use twice a day. I use it twice a day for about four days which at that point my face felt like it was on fire. I couldnt put anything on my face, not serum, not make up, not anything without feeling like I was rubbing salt into my open wounds. I think this product is basically a chemical peel and should come w more detailed instructions and more information and more warnings to consumers w sensitive skin. This product isnt something I can use twice daily continuously, I dont know how anyone could, but thats my opinion. However, if beauty equals pain, and no pain no gain mantra exists, this would back it up!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited about trying this product and its unfortunate I didnt like it as much as I wanted to. My skin is pretty sensitive in general, I typically use micellar water to cleanse along with a cleansing balm to remove my makeup. After a week of using this face wash my face looked like it was being tortured. I had extreme redness and dry patches, my face BURNED after every wash. I ended up just using this to clean my makeup brushes and beauty blenders. If you have sensitive skin dont bother, there are MANY other products out there better than this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally prefer a face wash with beads or some other exfoliant, but this face wash has none and is the best I’ve ever used! The gel is so thick that you can feel it coating your skin as you apply it. I needed to use a much smaller amount versus other brands I’ve used, which means it lasts longer and is great value.
My skin was dry and dull, but after a single use all the dryness was gone and my skin felt and looked smoother. After daily use, my skin looks and feels better than it has for years. I also noticed my skin was cleaner when toning with a pad.

Clear runny gel wash has pleasant scent. Wish it came in a pump bottle, as I have to be careful when dispensing. After removal of makeup/zinc sunscreen I use it as a second wash. Also as only wash when not wearing spf or makeup (most often not). Usually after regular foaming washes (or milk ones) my skin feels uncomfortable and tightened. Not after using this wash! Leaves my skin so silky, clean, not stripped and skin is so comfortable. Never tight. Love silky juicy feel of the skin after wash. Not dry feel I used to get after similar products. I think this wash is so effective as it had a good pH due to acid content. It is gentle and effective. Love it and will continue repurchasing now. Creates milky and creamy foam, not huge bubbles.

L’oreal’s Revitalift Resurfacing Gel Wash was very effective in cleaning my skin. I decided to use this especially in the evening to cleanse away my make-up and any pollutants from my working day. It has a beautiful fresh oceanic scent to me and its gel consistency is easy to apply and massage onto the face. I felt its smoothing properties upon drying my face; my skin was left feeling more refined, shinier and supple. The 3.5% glycolic acid that is added into this product I feel is quiet powerful as the exfoliating benefit comes from this. I’m glad that the directions remind me to wear SPF during the day as it may increase skin sensitivity – I think I will be using this only during the winter months when there is less exposure to the sun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always used facial washes with either a scrub or micro or beads as I have small dry patches on my face and it’s like a placebo effect knowing that dead dry skin is coming off with a scrub !!! So this was really interesting to try ! It’s quite a thick gel but gives a lovely feel to the skin when applied and makes your skin tingle like a tea tree product would I was skeptical about it as it didn’t think it would attack my dry patches but it did ! Great daily wash that leaves your skin feeling really refreshed and smooth ! Highly recommended

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the texture of this face wash, it has a stickiness to it that makes it so much easier to apply to wet skin without it just sliding off and needing to use more - also a small amount of this goes a long, long way. I can’t properly comment on the fragrance as my sense of smell is still recovering from covid-19, but the hint I could smell was very pleasant. Whilst washing, it gave my skin the tingly-fresh feeling and felt like it was really getting into every pore. I would recommend using a facecloth to help remove, as I mentioned it is quite a ‘sticky’ product (but of course it’s personal preference- I just found it quicker). From the very first use my skin felt exfoliated (yey for not using any micro-plastic beads!), brighter and smoother.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this along with the toner in the same range and have had nice results from it, but it's obviously hard to say which product is the better one, although I do prefer using glycolic acid as a toner as it's so easy to use. I did find it a little bit harsh (not too bad, but a slight tight feeling) on my skin if used twice daily, every day, so had to limit it and swap for a more hydrating cleansing balm every now and again. It has worked fine, and I will continue using the product, but as of right now I'm not sure I would repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked this product. It is a thick gel that foams really well. It contains menthol so it leaves your face feeling tingly which is nice. Due to the glycolic acid it makes your skin very soft. However, be careful what serums you use after so there are no interactions. I used another serum after this wash which was not compatible and my face flushed. There was no issue when using in conjunction with the derm intensives serum which is recommended. I would agree that this wash did help resurface and give smoother, brighter skin. A great buy for keeping a youthful glow and prepping for serums. I would recommend for aging skin as well as younger skin who want a smoother canvas. It helps with keratosis pilaris and unclogging pores for blackheads.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reason I give it a 2 star review is because it just didnt work that great with my skin. It dried my skin a lot, caused redness, and sensation of burnt skin. Which I know it can happen.. I did as directed if it happened. Also it has made me break out bad! The only thing I really liked about it is how clean and fresh my face did feel shortly after using it. Just not the aftermath. I personally wouldnt recommend it to a friend, but I know we all have different types of skin, so what mightve not worked for me could work for someone else!

I really enjoyed using this facial gel wash. Loved the super smooth, dense consistency which makes this product last longer than other watery face washes. It was very gentle and non-drying, great even on my sensitive/reactive skin. It has a slight menthol smell due to the menthol in the product which is really refreshing both to the nose and your face, your skin just feels really fresh and reinvigorated after usage. I noticed it also helped brighten my skin giving me a more even and radiant complexion. Perfect for dull tired Winter skin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm super fussy about what kinds of cleansers I put in my face but I am glad to have gotten the chance to test this. The packaging is visually pleasing, a little bit of the product goes a long way and it's easy. I dabbed a little in my hands and cleansed my face that way. The product is almost minty on your face which I really love. It's fairly gentle on your skin but it's not something I suggest using twice a day. Over all I like the product but like the package says if it feels like over use just cut back on how much you use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time using a gel cleanser. Its quite thick. When you apply it, it feels like when a face mask is almost dry. Also contains menthol which while it will give you a nice cooling sensation (and perhaps the cooling helps shrink your pores a bit), is also an essential oil and could cause a contact allergy for people with sensitive skin. I had hoped that using it twice a day that it would brighten my complexion but it didnt really do anything. Personal preference wise, I dont think I would purchase this on a regular basis.

This fantastic foaming wash has earned a place front and centre of the shower caddy. Safe to say both hubby and I loved this gel wash. The wash is literally a clear gel type liquid, it has scents of rose petals. The gel is surprisingly just smooth and clear, no grains or grits like normal excoriating products. It foams well and half a pea size amount is all I need. After even the 1st wash skin is left feeling soft and smooth and looking soft and smooth too. AMAZING will definitely recommend and definitely use again xx

My skin has been suffering since quarantine and I felt like this could be the perfect solution! Besides the glycolic acid, this cleanser contains eucalyptus and aloe, which is both soothing and also wakes you up. After a couple of weeks, my skin has already seen improvement! Of course, your mileage may very, but it works well as an addition to a well-established routine! Plus, at 3.5 Fl Oz, it's a good value for the price!

It never felt like my face was super clean and it hurt my eyes so definitely not good for makeup removal. My face started getting super dry so I cut down to just using it in the morning. After two weeks my skin still felt really dry and I noticed my makeup was looking awful. Even though I use a good moisturizer, hydrating serum and hydrating primer it still looked terrible. And the cleanser was the only new product in the rotation. I wouldnt recommend.

Whoa! This resurfacing gel is definitely no gimmick. I used to scrub my face with a face washer every night. Since using this I haven't used a face washer once. I haven't needed to. One tiny amount on your hand then massaged into your face gets rid of any roughness on my nose and chin, it reduces the size of my pores on my nose. I don't know how it does it because there are no little micro beads or anything in this gel, it's just magic! It leaves your face with a nice fresh tingle once wash off. I'm blown away.

Was worried it might not be suitable for sensitive skin but there has been no issues so far. From the first use it leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. Has a pleasant fragrance too. Haven't seen any visually noticeable differences in my skin, but then I have only just started using it. While I'm not expecting much in the way of Benjamin Button anti-ageing, it does make skin feel fresh, clean and soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this cleanser. It is a bit too much to use with my Clarisonic, but does get the job done with just my fingertips. My skin is left smooth and fresh, and not too dry which I was concerned about. It does tingle a bit during use, but nothing too crazy. I couldnt use this everyday, as its a little too intense to be used that often, but 3-4 times a week, and it was great! I could see it being slightly problematic for someone with more sensitive skin, though. Ultimately, I would repurchase this product!!
