7 Makeup Tricks
To Master Parisienne Allure

Want to sex up your make-up in an instant? Whether you’re transitioning from office to after-work drinks or even a hot date, these beauty tricks will take your look to the next level in a few minutes flat.

LIPS: For date nights, pick a lipstick shade that compliments your natural lip colour for a minimal yet glam look. Choose a long-wearing yet moisturising lipstick which won’t dry out your pout. L’Oréal Paris Infallible 2-Step Lip Colour is smooch-resistant and contains hyaluronic gel to keep your lips hydrated.

FACE: A BB cream enhances your natural complexion, offering coverage while making your face look soft, dewy and luminous. This will also prep and prime the skin for make-up.

EYES: Use rich gold, copper or bronze eye shadow to create a light, glowing metallic eye. L'Oréal Paris La Petite Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Maximalist gives long-lasting, pigment-heavy colour over the lid, while a white liner to your inner lower lash line will make your peepers pop.

LASHES: Give yourself a sultry stare with lashings of mascara. We can’t go past the new Volume Million Lashes Mascara (www.lorealparis.com.au/products/make-up/eye/mascara/volume-million-lashes-mascara-waterproof) for its ultra-flirty effect. To add extra thickness, dust your lashes with translucent powder prior to applying the wand, using a lash comb between each coat to prevent clumping.

CHEEKS: There’s nothing flirtier than naturally flushed cheeks. Want to know how to fake it? Apply a smidgen of rosy blush such as Life’s A Peach Blush on the apples of your cheeks and finish off with a dusting bronzer, blending it out towards your temples.

BROWS: Eyebrows are important as they help to frame the face. Tame strays by combing upward with a clear brow gel, before filling any gaps with a brow pencil, such as Brow Artist Shaper , that’s close to your natural brow colour. To accentuate their shape, use a touch of highlighter or illuminator under the brows.

HAIR: A tousled ‘do will do the trick. Save time by prepping in the morning. After you wash your hair, dry it until it’s slightly damp, pulling it up into a bun and leaving it there for the rest of the day. Just before you go out, take it out and spritz it with a curl spray. We recommend The Beach Wave Salt Spray and you’re good to go.

6 Makeup Trends to Try in 2019

A new year calls for fresh, new makeup looks. We look ahead to next year's beauty trends to keep you ahead of the game.

1. Love Heart Eyes

Ready to commit wholeheartedly to a colour and apply pink all-over? Grab your Cherry My Cheri Eyeshadow Palette and wash a rosy hue across eyes, lips and cheeks - it will keep you bang on trend with barely any effort.

2. Illegally Long Lashes

Forget big lips, now it's time for eyes to be in the spotlight! And bigger is better this season so look for mascaras with added fibres - proven to actually lengthen your natural lashes by millimetres!

3. Vibrant Colours

Bright solid colours are one of the most exciting trends to come off the runways this season. Out-there shades are great for nails, eyes and even lips for a fabulous statement look. Ready to experiment? Bright pops of electric colour on eyelids are perfect for the party season. Think rich, metallic hues like our Infallible Eye Paint.

4. Liquid Highlighter

The highlighter trend isn't going anywhere, but it's certainly getting a face-lift! Liquid highlighter will be your must-have product in 2019 for a gloriously dewy complexion. Luckily, we've got you covered with our Glow Mon Amour Glow Drops! You can even add to your moisturiser or foundation for that natural looking glow.

5. Stay-Put Formulas

Summertime means fun in the sun, as well as extra sweat and oil production. To keep your makeup looking fresh throughout the day, choose a stay-put foundation, which will also help maintain your skin moisture balance. Infallible 24HR Foundation will do exactly as it says, keeping you well-covered all summer long.

6. Technicolor Strands

Move over ombre, the latest hair trend seen on the catwalk is bold colour streaks. Think Marie Antoinette meets punk rock chic. If you only want those streaks to last the weekend, try Colorista Hair Makeup and wash out in seconds! Try combining Hair Makeup Hot Pink and Metallic Blue for a perfect summer festival look.

Three Beauty Trends to Embrace for Spring Racing

Spring Racing Carnival is the perfect excuse to experiment with bold new colours, prints, headwear and of course, makeup.

Cherry Hued Eye.
If you’re heading to Derby Day, a coloured eye is perfect to pair with a monochrome outfit. Add colour with a ripe peach or warm burgundy from the limited edition Cherry My Cheri palette. Best of all it smells like berries - YUM!

A Nude Lip.
Who said spring had to be all bright pinks and pastels? It's always a perfect occassion for a nude lip. The L’Oreal Paris Infallible 2-Step Longwear Lipstick has a nude for you and will ensure you have the perfect pout that lasts all day. Let your eyes be the front runner and pair with a sharp eyeliner.

Blush Draping.
The Spring Racing Carnival is the perfect time to try to the latest contouring trend - blush draping. This under-the-radar makeup technique uses blush to sculpt and contour cheekbones.
Start with a blush one shade darker than your usual and apply below the apples of your cheeks, using an angled brush to sweep the powder horizontally along your cheekbones, up towards your temples. Lightly apply a lighter shade of blush over the darker blush to soften any harsh edges.
