Infallible Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm quite pleasantly surprised by this one. I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical as a lot of setting sprays that were useful in extending my makeup wear were sticky and uncomfortable. The fine mist on this packaging makes the application seamless and the product really does help my makeup stay on. I have quite an oily skin and by early lunchtime I can usually see the signs of makeup breaking down, especially in my t-zone, but this makes my makeup last all the way until when I get home, which is pretty impressive. My only issue is that I've used it for 2 weeks now and it seems like about 20-30% of the product has been used. Which seems a bit crazy, meaning you'd have to re-purchase quite often.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I read the description of this setting spray I was really excited to try it but am sorry to say that I was really disappointed by this product. First of all I didn't realise it would be an aerosol spray (as when ordered there was no picture of the product). It looks like a mini can of hair spray and smells like it too. When applied it left my skin feeling tight and sticky (even though it states it is non sticky). Also any whispy bits of hair framing my face were left feeling hardened. I did see a bit more longevity to my days make up but not enough for me to use this product again. :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used fixing sprays before and although they have been reasonably effective at retaining make up, the initial spray (using a pump system) has left my face feeling super wet and yucky.
L’Oréals infallible is dispensed like a mist so you get better, and more lightweight coverage.
The size of the can is nice and small so fits easily in your hand for application.
My make up stayed put all evening and felt natural.
I’ve given it 4 stars but this could possibly be a 5 star if I used in the summer months or on hot holidays when I think this product will be fantastic at setting my make up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have absolutely loved using this L'Oreal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist, I can honestly understand all the hype around this setting mist now.

This setting mist dries in just 3 seconds, and it locks make up in place for up to 36 hours, what I love about this setting mist is there is no transfer. I even tried the transfer test I tested my makeup with a cotton pad and there was no transfer, my makeup stayed in place.

It really does not leave any traces of marks behind.
For everything this setting mist does it's also super affordable, I truly have found the best setting mist.

You say this is a non-sticky product that does not transfer. Well I will agree that it does not transfer and there is an extremely long ware time, but the product is very sticky. It is exactly like hairspray. When you spray it on it cakes up on your hair like old hairspray used to with extreme hold and then when you try to get that out you get what you see in the picture. I even get that gunk on my face. When I touch my face I feel pieces of the spray coming off my face. Not to mention the smell. It even smells like hairspray. This is the worst product on the market. L’Oréal do better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't normally use a Setting Spray, but this one intrigued me. "3 Second Setting Mist". Really?
It sprays on nice and even and doesn't run down your face like others do. The mist is nice and cool, and the only thing I'm not crazy about, is the scent.
I love scented products normally, but can't quite figure this one out. I can't figure out what it's supposed to be? The product seems to perform as advertised, but the real test will be when and if it ever gets sunny and "hot" here. Waiting in anticipation for that day !
I would recommend the spray and look forward to continued use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been sent this as a promotion. This is an odd concept as it felt like spraying your face with hairspray (smells like it too!!). Difficult to test how effective it is as my make up only tends to slide off my face when the weather starts getting warm, so I'll be be putting it through it's paces then. The mist is very fine and it settles quickly into the face, but the smell does remind me of Elnett hairspray, luckily this does fade after a short while. Look forward to seeing if it is effective during the summer months but for now I won't be adding into my make up routine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't sure what to expect from a spray like this but was very pleasantly surprised. I put on my makeup as usual but did not apply powder, instead I sprayed the '3 second settin mist' on. Was a little put off at first as it smells a bit like hair spray but it soon disappears. It does what is says on the can and dries more or less instantly. My make up looked fresh and there it lasted all day, it really works in setting your make up and does not transfer to clothes etc. and because I didn't use powder I think it looked better. I just wish I had found this product years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3 second setting mist is an absolutely makeup bag must have. It’s easy to over do based on how you see traditional sprays being used online, but moderation is the key to this product.
It’s not the finest spray either but not an uncomfortable drenching. I found it isn’t unscented or certainly not a scent that lingers.
In terms of performance, I’ve found it extends makeup lasting but my Mum with much oiler skin found this game changing and helped to keep her makeup on all day. Funnily enough the bottle grew legs and ended up living predominantly in her makeup bag!

Some squirt out and leave residue Or white marks so I’ve been put off trying anymore. I got this to try for the Christmas period and so far impressed already after a few uses. I have combination skin so need one that will hydrate my cheeks but also helps control an oily t zone. It’s a fine mist which doesn’t soak your skin and it didn’t make my mascara smudge either. It’s long lasting and I even topped up during the day after blotting my t zone. Will continue to use this as very happy so far .

After applying my makeup as usual, I sprayed this all over my face and let it set for a few seconds. I noticed that my makeup barely moved all day, which surprised me, considering I was battling the elements! The fragrance is nice and clean, too, which is quite nice. This is definitely something I am going to keep using, especially on those days when I want my makeup to look flawless. And the good thing is you don't need to use too much of it either so it should last for quite a while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t wear a lot of make up but thought I would try it for my eyebrows which I have to pencil in. Normally my eyebrows gradually disappear and need to be redone by early afternoon. I’m pleased to say it works very well. It reminds me of my Mum’s hairspray with a similar effect and smell. My lipstick also lasted a few hours longer and did not transfer to my Partner, which greatly pleased him. So yes a success. It’s a bit expensive but if I can double the life of my eyebrow pencil I will break even without the hassle of reapplying eyebrow pencil during the day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this to try, does have a very strong spray like hair spray when 1st spray but does evaporate quite quickly, it dries quickly too unlike some other setting sprays, did leave my skin feeling dry and tight but my make up didn’t budge all night only had to reapply lipstick and gloss which I would anyway. Will put it to the test when the warmer weather comes and will prob appreciate the cool sensation even more. After taking make up off skin did feel drier and still a bit tight but I used facial oil before bed to rehydrate it was good to go the next morning

It is an aerosol rather than a pump dispenser, and looks very much like a travel sized hairspray. When sprayed onto the face, it dries instantly, which is always a bonus when I am rushing. It's invisible on the skin and feels weightless. L'Oreal claims that it will last up to 36 hours, but as I never leave makeup on for so long, I cannot comment. However, after 10-12 hours of wear, my makeup stayed put and appeared as fresh as when it was first applied.

The spray application is super easy, although it made my skin quite wet and took about a minute to dry. After that it feels firm and dry, not tacky at all. I noticed that my skin was pulling somewhat, which made sense as a firm, somewhat shiny layer had been added. This stays in place if you rub your skin or add water, so it really does what it says. It is just not for me to add an extra layer on top of my make-up but for anyone wanting to go swimming etc it would be a useful product.

I don’t mind most setting sprays but I don’t like that theh are just too wet and not a mist - this is a game changer!

It dried INSTANTLY and didn’t feel caked, heavy or wet. I didn’t have to waft my face (technical term!) to get it to set, it just did it!

Make up didn’t budge - which is the ultimate test in -2 degrees weather with hats and scarves and what not!

It is a very fine mist that sprays easily and evenly, and I had no irritation from using it on my sensitive skin. I am going through the menopause at the moment and my face always looks shiny and my makeup runs especially my mascara, but this product left my skin looking healthy and my mascara didn't move. There was no clogging feeling when using this spray and no scent that I noticed. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone and will be buying it again myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The L'Oreal 3 second setting spray does exactly what it says and dries super fast which is great. I have used another L'Oreal infallible setting spray as well as other different brands and usually fan my face to dry the spray as it can take a little while to dry.

Once dried, it leaves your face feeling smooth and my foundation doesn't transfer onto my phone. It does say that the spray doesn't transfer onto fabric but unfortunately that didn't quite work with me. I mean it isn't as bad transfer wise, it does stop the transfer but a little ends up on the neck area of my clothes but not as bad as usual. This is definitely a great setting spray, my makeup looks fine at the end of the day. I usually have my makeup on for around 14-15 hours.

The can is a great size for popping in a handbag for too-ups throughout the day or evening. I found it made my makeup look fresh and vibrant, and it did a good job of setting it. My only downsides are that the spray itself is quite forceful and not so much like a gentle mist. I’m also not too keen on the fragrance but this dissipates quickly so not a huge issue. A great, value for money product to keep in your bag through the festive season and beyond!

When it arrived I thought it was a travel size hairspray at first as that's exactly what it looked like. I spritzed a bit on the back of my hand to test it and it pretty much smells and feels like hairspray too...
I was going out for a special occasion so I applied more make-up than on an average day. My skin is oily so I use a lot of mattifying and long-wear products. I applied this setting spray according to instructions and off I went.
At the end of the evening my make-up looked about the same as it normally does, a bit shiny and less on my t-zone than at the start of the evening.
It may have lasted a little better on my forehead but honestly I could barely tell the difference.

The spray is very fine and it dries instantly (as promised, 3 seconds and that’s it!) and it sets make up for the rest of the day. There is no smudging, cracking, running etc for the whole day! It locks in make-up, makes foundation look smooth matt which does not change as day goes on. I have oily forehead and with the spray it stays matt for the whole day! Also it makes foundation transfer free which is the best thing ever as I tent to touch face a lot and now I don’t have to worry about smudging make up or transferring it onto fingers and then onto everything else that I touch. Overall I love it and I would recommend it to my friends.

The texture feels a little like spraying yourself with some light hairspray, but not as strong in smell or texture. I found that my makeup did not budge all day, as per the promise on the mist. Unfortunately I did get some irritation around my eyes that didn't stop until I removed my makeup. I am a contact lense wearer so not sure if this would only happen to contact lense wearers, but it would be great if this spray came in a 'sensitive' option too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure I'd want my makeup on for 36 hours but I trust L'Oréal when it says there's no transfer over that time. Handy, 75ml can with instructions that I could barely read but spray 30cm from face in circular motion, obviously keep eyes and mouth closed! It has a fragrance similar to hair spray which I'm not particularly keen on but for the 12 or so hours I had it on while on a busy shopping trip, visiting changing rooms and it was a hot day, it did not transfer onto the new clothes I was trying on. So it does work! It also substitutes as a hairspray as it kept my fringe in place too. I will definitely use this on future shopping trips but not sure that I need this on a regular basis at the moment, but in summer when the weather is hot it'll be invaluable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, the positives… the aerosol gives a nice, fine mist which is easy to spray evenly and it probably does make your makeup last a bit longer. However, it feels just like spraying hairspray in your face and, even though it dries quite quickly, I could feel the film it left on my face. The smell didn’t bother me too much and it soon dissipates, but my makeup still transferred. I tried spraying more on, but this just left my skin feeling tight and actually caused my makeup to peel off in places. I prefer other setting sprays.

It's better than other setting sprays I've used so 4 stars, I'll just miss one star off for the smell, I've never been a fan of hairspray smell.

Also it doesn't dry my skin out either but skin feels tight on first application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once applied this product did work well & my make did seem to last a lot longer than usual. The issue I had though, is that the ‘hairspray’ style nozzle is quite hard to use, as you need to keep both eyes closed when using, so it’s hard to know where you are spraying. The ultra fine mist also makes this hard to tell, as you can’t feel it. Whilst the fine mist did feel great on the skin any not drying at all, it was a bit tricky to apply. Although it’s good, I wouldn’t class this as a ‘go to’ product.

Nothing beats a good setting spray after applying makeup. This three second setting mist by @lorealparis certainly delivers, packing quite a punch for the size of the bottle. Easy to take away with me and fits in my makeup bag. I like that it is a spray applicator and not a pump, so you can hold and wave across your face is one go. It’s also a light spray whereas some by another brand can feel quite wet and applies too heavy onto the skin. Lovely scent too! Gifted by Lorealistar.
