Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo 800ml

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My natural hair colour is dark brunette, almost black. I have to colour my hair every 3 weeks to hide the grey roots at the parting. This shampoo helps retain the colour and keep the texture of my hair from drying out. It contsins a uv protection which we all know is necessary all year round for skin and hair. The shampoo is rich and creamy. It softens my hair and makes it feel smooth and healthy. Its a nessessity for dyed hair !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the bottle, especially the colour, it's easy to open and squeeze with wet hands. I didn't need too much for my shoulder length hair so the bottle will last a while, the fragrance is lovely and not too strong. On rinsing my coloured hair felt so much softer even before applying conditioner. Lovely rich feeling lather too. I use this along with the matching conditioner to make the colour last longer and look brighter

been using the colour protect shampoo for years, fab feeling hair, lovely scent....had to purchase some the other day and god knows what you've done but the smell actually knocks me sick! thought it may have been a 'duff' batch but no no....repurchased and it's exactly the same! hair doesn't feel as clean and is visibly greasy after only a few hours....have to find a new shampoo now methinks! top job loreal! 👎

Used to be great - I've been using for over 2 decades, even although I did not colour my hair. It added shine and volume. Sadly the formulation has changed, and I end up with limp, greasy hair after washing, conditioning and drying. I need to wash my hair much more often now.
I'm going to buy an alternative product after I finish the bottle I have. It was giod for years, but now it is rubbish.

From the first use my hair felt nourished and the colour stayed "cleaner". Only a little it needed - my hair is long and thick - it lathered well and smells great with the fragrance lasting. I will definitely be making this part of my colour protecting routine.

I have used the old and new formula for this project, but I LOVE the new scent (contrary to many other reviews, the new scent is what I noticed first and enjoyed immediately). I have bleached and dyed straight hair and the new formula works very well for me, I can't see much difference between this and the old version; it makes my hair very soft and feels clean yet not dry at all.

I have very long, fine hair with balayage. I've been using the conditioner (with the shampoo) for a couple of weeks, havent noticed any difference in my colour but my hair feels very nourished and healthy with no extra weight

Unlike normal shampoo that can strip hair colour, this Elvive shampoo protect hairdye and keeps it lasting longer. On my dyed hair I know I can trust Colour Protect Shampoo due to using it for years. The gray hairs are hidden for longer. I like that this makes my hair glossy too! A great shampoo.

I always try and delay washing my hair once it's newly dyed, as most shampoos tend to dull the colour. This shampoo is much kinder to the colour, washing away the dirt and not the colour. Like the matching conditioner, it has a wonderful fresh and fruity smell that leaves my hair refreshed but not diluted.

It’s been a couple weeks and I can definitely say that the colour hasn’t lost much vibrancy and my hair always seems to have a glossy finished look. The shampoo itself has a really nice and smooth texture and has my hair and scalp feeling fresh. I genuinely have nothing bad to say about this shampoo!

I used it alongside the colour shielding conditioner, which together should shield hair fibre and maintain the intensity and vibrancy of my hair colour. Too early to say, but my hair feels and smells nice lets hope it works.

It makes my hair soft and silky, brushing is also a lot easier. It has a lovely fragrance, but it is not too strong. Best results when used together with colour protect conditioner. Highly recommend it!

These bottles are now easier to refill as well .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Elvive for years and enjoy trying out their different ranges. This shampoo was their usual high standard. The scent is beautiful and the shampoo is so thick and lovely, you don’t need much to get a good lather. I used this alongside the conditioner and my hair felt lovely, clean, fresh and soft after using.

The ingredients have changed and the product now leaves my hair lank, lifeless and feeling greasy! The original formula was much better and was my go to shampoo and conditioner. I will be changing brands unless it goes back to the old version! Moisturising benefits I've rated as low as it's making my hair look awful.

As always, this made my hair feel soft, strong and nourished. The fragrance is fresh with a fruity hint.
Plus with it being a slightly smaller bottle (but same amount of product) it now fits better on my shelf.

I have been a loyal user of L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo for years, and I have always loved how it made my hair look and feel. The old formula left my hair glossy, vibrant, and smelling amazing – I received so many compliments on how healthy and beautiful my hair was.

However, the recent change in formula has completely ruined the product for me. The new version smells unpleasant, lacks the luxurious feel of the previous formula, and leaves my hair feeling dull and lifeless. I honestly can’t believe how much the product has changed, and it’s incredibly disappointing.

After years of using this shampoo as my go-to, I’m sad to say I will no longer be purchasing it. It’s frustrating to see a product that worked so well for so long be changed for the worse. I really hope L’Oréal listens to their customers and brings back the original formula.

Until then, I’ll be looking for an alternative – one that actually makes my hair look and smell as good as it used to.

The smell is amazing and the shampoo gives a good lather. The shampoo has been powered with Pure Vitamin Cg to keep your colour vivid and it also protects against UV so a really good shampoo to use

Since changing the formula I find the shampoo just dreadful ,
The smell and the textire of my hair is so disappointing , my hair has gone from feeling healthy and shinny , to dull amd greasy and the smell it like a heavy perfume that hits you in the back of the throat . Sorry but I much prefer the original .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shampoo had a lovely fragrance, had to define, just lovely. The texture was so rich, not greasy, just good quality. So good, I wanted to leave it on longer. It rinsed well, and one application left my hair nice and clean and nourished, and the colour lightest blonde stayed maintained. Highly recommended.

I didn’t really see any difference in nourishing my hair or maintaining the colour. I need to use the product for longer really to test it out.

It has a lovely smell and works up a good lather. It’s a must for colour treated hair at least once a week alongside some of the other great L’Oréal shampoos.

Washing my hair with this shampoo does exactly that. It cleans the hair without fading the colour. Together with the matching conditioner, it is a perfect combination for coloured hair.

I have dyed auburn hair which is notorious for colour fade so bought this to try, made the water run red every wash compared to other shampoos I have used that are not even colour protecting ones. Maybe good if you’ve dyed your hair and it’s gone to dark and you want to strip the colour!

Hi, I have bought the ted bottle colour protect shampoo for years and loved it. Stopped buying the new formula as the smell is too strong snd It leaves my hair limp and feeling heavy, itches my neck. Won’t be buying again. could you please bring back stock of the old formula.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for years but the new formulation isn't great, my hair doesn't feel as nice after washing now and my colour doesn't stay in as long anymore. Unless formulation goes back to including red peony I will not be buying anymore.

It lathers well and a little goes a long way which makes it great value. Has a lovely smell as other L’Oréal shampoos, and keeps my colour looking fresh and longer lasting.
