HOW TO CHOOSE HAIR DYE FOR YOUR HAIR COLOUR NEEDS

Step ONE: Choose your BASE Colour:
Decide how light or dark you want your hair colour to be.
The first number of the shade always relates to the base colour. The higher the number, the lighter the base colour will be.
Example: 6.3 is a light brown
When choosing your hair colour, make sure you don’t pick a shade that is more than 2 levels from your natural base colour.

Step TWO: Choose your REFLECT Colour:
Decide what type of reflect you want in your shade; cool, warm or no reflect.
The second number of the shade always relates to the reflect. The higher the number is, the warmer the reflect will be.
Example: 6.3 is a golden reflect
Some shades have double reflects added giving more colour intensity. When two reflects are present, the first one is the more dominant of both.
Example: 8.34 is a golden copper double reflect. The gold .3 is the dominant reflect.

Step THREE: Apply Magic Retouch in between hair dyes to conceal root regrowth - match your BASE Colour:
For in between colourations, conceal greys and roots in just one quick application with the Magic Retouch range.
Match the shade to your BASE colour to give you perfectly blended coverage.
Example: Magic Retouch Brown matches Excellence 5 (Brown)

How do I know if a hair colour will suit me?

If you’re keen for a change, but unsure whether you’ll like the end colour, Casting Crème Gloss is a good place to start. A semi-permanent hair dye, lasting up to 28 washes, you’ll be able to see whether you like a different look without the commitment of a permanent dye.

How long does hair dye last?

A permanent hair dye should last between 4-6 weeks, as it is permanent it lasts until you roots begin to grow out.

Does hair dye expire?

Cream and gel hair dye expires after opening. Therefore, once you have mixed up the dye, you are not able to save it for future use.

What is the best way to cover first greys?

First greys are usually scattered, which is why Magic Retouch Precision is perfect, as you can target greys and instantly conceal them with the easy brush applicator.

How often am I able to colour my hair?

You should only colour your hair when you need to. For permanent hair dye, only colour your hair when your roots begin to grow out, applying the colour directly to your roots. This is typically every 4-6 weeks.
