Rated 3 out of 5 by from I love the luxe look of this packaging, but I'm lukewarm on the shampoo.  It was definitely soothing for my sensitive scalp, but I found it quite drying on the ends of my hair which was my concern as soon as I saw all the lather this shampoo produced.  The dryness on my ends was not something that could be undone by the conditioning balm and mask so I'm left playing catch up for awhile trying to rehydrate them.  What I did like about the shampoo is that it really brightened my hair.  My husband really enjoyed this shampoo and I can see myself using this once a month as a clarifying shampoo, but it's too rough on my hair for everyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The L’Oréal Paris Botanicals Fresh Care Lavender Soothing Therapy Shampoo is a great product.\nFirst impressions came from the packaging- I love the pump. It makes it super easy to use in the shower. The scent is AMAZING. The lavender is soft and delightful and steers clear of the “grandma lavender” scents that you usually find in products at this price point. It is especially amazing if you wash your hair right before bed because the lavender scent puts you in the right space for bedtime. \nThe shampoo left my hair feeling soft and smooth while leaving my sensitive scalp happy. I think it may have even reduced my dandruff! \nI will definitely be buying again!\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Squeaky clean hair in seconds! This shampoo has no SLSs, but it makes such a great suds! And washes all the buildup from dirt and other hair products so well without stripping my scalp or hair. Loving the results, so I use the shampoo when I feel my hair is weighted down by other haircare (once per week or so). Huge pump bottle of 400mL is great, mess free and so easy to dispense, plus looking gorgeous in the shower. Makes my hair shiny and scent is divine (lavender, from essential oil). Unfortunately scent does not linger for long, but it is a pleasure to use, aromatherapy in the shower. Love how my hair is soft as well and feels light after using this shampoo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Lavender Soothing Therapy Range by L’Oreal is beautifully packaged and looks way more expensive than it is! The Shampoo comes in a pump bottle which is so much easier to use in the shower however I have a ledge in the shower to place and hold the bottle - it could be difficult if you didn’t especially with wet wet hands. The shampoo lathers up easily and the Lavender fragrance is to die for - and exactly what it says - ‘soothing’. I have fine hair and this shampoo made my hair feel much thicker and gave it volume without any dryness. It actually looks quite lush and shiny. I definitely recommend this product to you if you have fine hair and want to create volume and shine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been using L’Oréal Botanicals Lavender shampoo for 2 weeks now and I can’t get enough of the beautiful smelling lavender oil.  One pump is enough to wash my long fine hair and fill my bathroom with the devine lavender scent. I like to wash my hair twice and the first time I don’t get a lot of foaming with this shampoo but the second time I only need half a pump and my hair is full of foam so I know it has done a great job cleaning my hair the first time. The shampoo comes in a beautiful pump pack and has a lot of natural ingredients and is even Vegan which is a bonus for me. I would buy it again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I dont mind the smell of this shampoo. It reminds me of another brand Ive used in the past and I usuay get complemented on the smell of my hair afterwards. My hair is quite thin and dry and often picky so I never know what to expect. I found the shampoo lathered well and felt that it cleaned my hair but unfortunately did not remove all product build up (hair spray and antifrizz). However apart from that my hair felt healthier and smelt amazing. Love that the bottle is easy to use and the pricepoint affordable. Will continue to use and reassess over time. Still a great product worthy of trying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the second range I've tried from the L'oreal Botanicals line and I'm a huge fan.\n\nFresh Care lavender shampoo smells beautiful, the lavender scent is fresh and gorgeous. This shampoo is great for my fine, colour treated hair. I find it to be gentle and nourising and it leaves my hair feeling very soft.  I've also noticed that since I started using this range I don't get any itchy scalp anymore. \n\nThe pump bottle is a great idea, it's so much easier to use than the usual flip top bottles.\nI love that this range is free of nasties and the packing is totally recyclable. \n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This time of the year most shampoos give me an itchy/flaky scalp so I have to avoid most of the nasty ingredients that can be hidden in shampoo. L’Oréal Paris Botanicals Fresh Care Lavender Shampoo is free from sulphates, parabens, silicones and colourants.  Prior to starting this trial my scalp had been feeling horrendously itchy so I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this shampoo has soothed my irritated scalp. \n\nLove the pump; it is so easy to use. The consistency of the shampoo is very thick and so it doesn’t run through my fingers and go down the drain. It is pearlescent in colour and smells like a dreamy lavender field. I found the formula to be non-drying, nourishing and as promised soothing. \n\n

Top 5 ways To Use A Hair Oil

Not sure how to handle hair oils? Don’t worry, we'll show you how to use them—even on fine hair.

HOW TO USE HAIR OIL

1. PRE-SHAMPOO TREATMENT
Our tresses go through a lot on a daily basis— everything from hot water to straightening can leave hair feeling brittle and parched. Try using hair oil as a pre-shampoo prep. Moisturising the strands before washing will help it retain its natural oils. Just add an extra step of applying hair oil before you shower and follow with shampoo and conditioner as usual. We promise, you’ll see the difference.

2. LIGHTWEIGHT SHINE
When you have fine hair, it’s easy to tip over into heavy handed territory with styling products. Unfortunately, doing so weighs hair down and gives it an overly oily sheen. Instead of piling on the products, apply a coin-sized amount of hair oil onto dry ends, steering clear of your roots. This way, you can enjoy silky shine without the added weight.

3. BLOWOUT PREP
It’s hard to get your at-home blowouts to match salon styled waves. While it may well be because the hairdryer is a finicky tool to master, there are other secret tricks of the trade to elevate your DIY look. The easiest hack is to add hair oil into the mix (and a heat protectant). Apply to damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush. Finish with a spritz of lightweight hair spray to lock in that smooth shine!

4. TAME FRIZZ
If you’re a victim of hat hair or the dreaded humid hair poof, you’re definitely not alone. Unruly hair plagues us all from time to time, but thankfully hair oil can help tame frizz and flyaways. Rub one to two pumps of hair oil between your palms, running it through the lengths of your hair. Once you only have a tiny amount left, smooth it over the top of your scalp – enough to keep any fine baby hairs in place but not so much that it looks greasy.

5. SPLIT END PROTECTION
Although a trim is the only real solution for eliminating split ends (for now), you can still help protect your strands on a daily basis with a dash of hair oil. Incorporating it as part of your regular hair care routine could make all the difference in delaying your next visit to the salon. Put it on wet or dry hair—both work!

Everything You Need To Know About
Purple Shampoo

We may never really know if blondes have more fun. Nevertheless, whether you’re bottle blonde or naturally blessed, you know there’s a fair bit of upkeep involved to keep the good times rolling. The key to keep your hair hues looking icy? A purple shampoo.

What is purple shampoo?
It’s exactly what it says on the bottle. A shampoo with purple pigments that keep brassy undertones at bay. Consider it your DIY tune-up to keep your new hue looking flawless for longer.

How does purple shampoo work?
While the concept of purple shampoo might sound a little crazy, it all comes back to colour theory. Purple is directly opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so the purple pigments neutralises any unwanted yellows brought out by things like sun or heat styling. While it won’t actually change the colour of your hair, it addresses the tone and nixes the brassiness. It’s basically your at-home toner.

How does purple shampoo fit in my routine?
Coloured shampoos should be used in conjunction with your regular shampoo and conditioning routine instead of replacing them entirely. If you're washing your hair thrice a week, introduce purple shampoo for the fourth wash. Overdoing the purple shampoo can leave hair colour looking dull and drap, which is the opposite of what you want!
All-over blondes will find the top of the hair more golden than the ends, so we recommend applying a concentrated amount of purple at the crown and letting it run out as you lather and rinse. The ends will catch the colour (they don't need as much anyway), so let it drizzle through.

Do I need purple shampoo?
Blonde hair does need more maintainence, but purple shampoo works across the colour spectrum. Dark hair is more prone to brassiness due to the amount of melanin it has, so brunettes will find purple shampoo surprisingly useful to get rid of those warm hues.

Where do I find purple shampoo?
Right here. Meet the brand NEW Elvive Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo, designed to hydrate, tone and revive coloured hair.
