Colour is okay but appears ashy

I purchased this expecting it to be a tinted moisturizer suitable for warmer weather. I have light brown/olive skin with neutral undertone (mix of peach and golden). The colour adapted to my skin but appears very ashy and washed out. The texture feels very rough and I would not have purchased if I knew I would have to blend to make the white paste go away. Technically the product did what it was designed to do but im pretty unsatisfied. Personally I would be happier if it was a creamier consistency and included a light SPF for some real skin benefits. Perhaps it is more suitable to a fairer complexion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! L’Oréal have smashed the market with this BB cream. I wear foundation during the day when going outside and BB cream for a light coverage at home. Now I need to forget that as this is what I’m wearing at home and outside!! This unique formula that has a scent of watermelon is light in texture. I applied primer and concealer then used my brush to apply this. The white liquid actually turned a colour to match my skin perfectly. I’ve had complements when wearing this saying how healthy my skin looked and it has a silky finish on my skin. I’m going to try stockpile this as I’ve never been so impressed and I look and feel great wearing it!

Itchy and Gritty!

The formulation goes on very gritty and is not tinted until it is blended on your skin. Okay unusual but my issue is itching around the nose area in particular for several seconds. Quite unpleasant. I can’t use it anymore because I’m unhappy with the itching. I have normal skin with usually no reaction to any product. I usually love L’Oréal products. I wouldn’t recommend this.

Great alternative to foundation!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I’m getting older (40!) I’ve found that foundation can be a little heavy for day to day so have been trying BB creams as an alternative.
This starts off white and you do wonder what’s going to happen but it goes to skin colour as soon as you start applying, I apply with fingers to warm through.
It leaves my skin really nice and soft and evens mh tone without fully covering. I love that it has skincare ingredients and so will improve my skin over time too.
The only thing I would say is I had light I think it was but it is darker than I expected, it’s fine for summer but I’d probably need the paler one in winter x

Too yellow and somehow grey

I have light, pink/freckled skin and this Light shade is too yellow, not a good skin colour to blend with mine. There's also a bit of greyness about it, compared to other light BBs/foundations. With the new formulation (new tube is called Magic BB with circle and horizontal text) I think it may be worse in colour as I've repurchased before, and the smell is also worse, making it not as pleasant to use. Would choose another BB or tinted serum over this, for better colour match and application experience.

I am prone to breakouts so I don't like wearing heavy makeup but stuggle to find lightweight foundation that offers a little bit of coverage. This product is perfect for that. It's lightweight so much so that I don't feel that I'm wearing makeup. The coverage is perfect - it hides small blemishes and evens out my uneven skin tone. It is a white thin, silky liquid when first dispensed and then matches your skin tone as you blend it in. I am really fair skinned so find it difficult to get an exact match but this is probably the closest colour match I've been able to find.

This is nowhere near as good as the Nude Magique 4in1 , or the 5in1 with sunscreen. I don't know why they were ever discontinued, and reading other reviews I'm not the only one who feels that way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like a BB cream for easy, everyday use, especially if I'm just staying at home or not doing much, but still like to put a little bit of makeup on just in case someone turns up at the door! This is perfect for that. Looks natural, but covers a little bit without looking made up. Fairly moisturising too, even on my very dry skin so that's always a plus! This can be applied with your fingers too if you're in a rush and it blends easily. The colour isn't perfect for me as I'm super pale, but might be able to pull it off in the summer. One of the better BB creams that I've tried and definitely recommend!

Hard to apply - not smooth. Coagulates if using over the top of a base perfecting cream. Not happy that this replaced the nude magique BB in cream which I LOVED!

Light on skin & even complexion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this BB cream and how it transforms colour when on skin. I use this BB cream instead of a full on foundation for day to day wear and for office days too. It is great at making your complexion look even and blemishes being covered as well. I love how light it feels on skin but at the same time it has a good coverage which you can build up a bit (if preferred). It blends into my skin tone like it is a perfect match and it makes skin look natural but with even and healthy glow and it has a great finish too. Also it comes with bunch of skin loving ingredients and it does make my skin feel hydrated. I think it is a great alternative to your normal foundation and I would recommend it to my friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really novel product. I was surprised how this came out white and adjusted to a certain shade range.
It's a really fresh light foundation for summer, it blurs across pores and texture and leaves you with a nice skin like texture - not too shiny or matte.
I'd definitely say it's a summer foundation as there's quite a lot of warmth in the shades and I'm not able to pull it off in the winter without false tanning the rest of my body. Although despite this I did try building it up for extra coverage which looked great, it just wasn't the right shade for me.
It's a really nice product though and it's making me look forward to summer when I can wear it when I'm not looking so blue toned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this product but must confess if confused me when I first squeezed the product out of the tube as it is White!
I put a little onto the back of my hand and as I rubbed it in, it changed to my own skin tone.
When I applied it to my face, the colour matched my skin perfectly, evening out my skin.
It is totally buildable for those spots that you need abit more coverage and doesn’t then become patchy if you apply powder over the top.
This also left my skin feeling soft and did not dry it out.
Will definitely be getting this again and highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really loved this product when I first used it I applied quite a lot as I wasn’t sure as it looks just like a moisturiser but as you start blending it into your skin you can see it develop a nice colour that matched my skin it was like magic it didn't feel greasy or heavy so I used it on its own as just a simple day look & it really lasted the whole day & pretty much stayed matt I have really oily prone skin so this really worked well as norm after about 30 mins of applying make up I’m quite shiny. I love that it covered redness & blemishes really well & it smells amazing like a really nice moisturiser smell I will definitely continue using this product in the future 10 out of 10 please send me more (worth a try) lol

As soon as I started rubbing it into my skin though it changed into a subtle flash of colour. For me I need a bit more coverage due to red patches so needed to apply some concealer in places but it is perfect for days when I don't want to bother with foundation. What I really love is that it made my skin feel super smooth and glowing, plus it reduced the appearance of the pores around my forehead.

Dirty pale orange/yellow colour

This bb cream is more like a foundation in finish, it is medium coverage, not sheer like a bb cream should be. Also, upon application it turned a dirty pale orange/yellow colour that looked about 3 shades different from my actual skin tone (and I have light to medium skin). There is no way this colour-adjusts to your skin tone, that’s just false advertising. So disappointed with L’Oréal and this bb cream.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to test this for free. I tried shade 02 Light but I wish 01 had been available as this gave me an orange tint. I'm usually a shade or two above the palest foundation but this was definitely too orange for me. I would say it's closer to the lighter side of medium.
The texture is pleasant and it didn't show up too badly on my dry patches. Neither did it give an oily appearance on my combination skin.
Overall I would try the lightest shade as the coverage was the exact amount I like, light and buildable with a natural finish.

It keeps skin moisturized but doesn’t have the powdery residue of foundation. It is so easy to apply. It’s brilliant for summer. I actually love it for holidays as I can wear it on its own or with a bronzer without having to take too much makeup with me. It matched super well with my skin tone, even after getting a tan (I don’t tan that much as I’m fair) i didn’t have to get a different shade.

It feels lightweight and it’s very easy to blend. I find it much easier to apply it directly to the skin with the fingers, then once rubbed in I will use a brush to blend it in better.
Even though it is shade light, I do find it a little dark so make sure to apply a little at a time and build up if needed. Leaves my skin feeling hydrated and looking brighter.

Never written a review about makeup before but I love this product. Surprised about other reviews. Does feel a bit gritty going on but I have had a lot of comments and people asking what foundation I am using. My skin has a more even tone all over. Stays on all day. I like that it is not shiny. I am in my 50s and blends in well with my skin. I have spent over $100 for a foundation in the past and this is better than anything I have had before and very reasonably priced.

I was surprised when it can out that it was white in colour, I thought I had a bad batch, but when you rub it in, it changes in colour to match your skin tone! It goes on well and a little goes a long way. I’m quite fair skinned and found the light shade to be slightly too dark, I would like an extra light tone. Once on you can’t feel it and certainly don’t feel caked in make up. It gives a nice even, dewy tone to the skin.

Stunned at this product. It feels like it's full of finely ground sand and feels awful when applying. It's drying and I cannot see a single difference in my skin when I put it on. It does nothing. Stunned. Waste of money.

It gives a lovely light coverage perfect for those no make up days. It blurred my imperfections and redness.
It comes out white and shade matches your skin. I got shade light and I wear 2N1 in double wear, 125 in infallible fresh wear and ivory in Clinique even better make up.
The only thing I’d say is it did highlight sine dry patches so make sure your skin is moisturised beforehand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Found it difficult to cover small blemishes as the formula makes you use more of smart formula when I only wanted to use it on a small area as it gave my skin a red tone which I didn't like. It made me use more foundation to cover the redness. It may be that it needs to used differently to other BB creams? Probably a good product if I knew how to use it as Loreal intend it to be used. Made my skin look more flaky, so it probably wasnt compatible with my skin type.

Thin light cover, you can't see I'm wearing it, no heavy amounts or thick layers to cover blemishes in my complexion. Gone are the dark circles, back is my natural skin tone. It’s really light and I don’t feel as though I am wearing anything on my skin, but it brightens and evens out my complexion perfectly. I hate wearing anything that feels like it sits on my skin, like many foundations to do, so for me, this is a perfect alternative.
I use a brush to apply and find that I don’t really need to use a huge amount so I think it will last me for ages.
I’ll definitely buy this again!

02 Light is tan coloured, not 'light'

Sadly, despite the shade being called 'Light', the cream looked so orange on my skin it was closer to tanning lotion colour than a lighter shade. Even if I do get a tan on holiday, my skin doesn't go this shade. Gutted!

I can stop searching now…this shade suited me really well and blends in perfectly. I used a bit moisturiser on my cheeks before applying. The coverage is good and I applied a bit concealer and matte powder afterwards. This is great and wearable for hot summer days.

I found it blended well and gave a light coverage. I think you could probably build it up in areas where you want more coverage. It gave a fresh, dewy look. I did find it didn’t last too long before needing to be reapplied, but it may last longer with a powder to set it.

My normal make up is quite a full coverage foundation but for at home or on holiday I like something far lighter which this most certainly is. It gives a subtle dewy finish and just enough coverage for my skin. I love that it goes on like a moisturiser and changes perfectly to match your skin tone. The fragrance is so soft and lovely. This will definitely be a staple for me!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a real magic. When i just received it and open it i thought may be it is mistake. Why this cream is white colour. I spread ti on my hand and it change a colour to my skin colour. Then i tried it on my face. Very light texture. Makes my skin look perfect very fast. For summer it is the best product:light texture, easy to apply,fast absorption and no feelings like a mask on your face.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this!! Such a good base but also brilliant for evening skin tone for “no makeup” days. I wear this daily now and just use my fingers to apply, really easy and use this instead of true match now for work (I work on a hospital ward). not orange and a nice glow. Slightly buildable but if you have imperfections or spots you’ll likely just need to put a dab of concealer on top
