Tip 3: Never Skip Sunscreen

Sun exposure is a leading cause of premature aging. The reason? The sun gives off ultraviolet (UV) light rays that lead to wrinkles and dark sun spots over time. The structural changes in the skin’s natural collagen caused by sun exposure are impossible to reverse.  Luckily, the solution is simple. Sunscreen! Tip 4: Treat Yourself to Hydrating Face Masks

Older skin has a slower production of collagen compared to younger skin. Collagen is essential in making skin look bouncy, elastic and youthful. With the decrease in production of collagen comes dryer skin. This makes moisturising a key step in any skin care routine for the over 30s.

Tip 5: Banish Blemishes

Just because you’ve reached your 30s, doesn’t mean you get to say goodbye to pimples and acne. In fact, many women in their 30s can still suffer from bouts of acne. This can be brought on by various factors like diet, stress, and monthly cycles. Adult acne is usually found around the chin and jawline area. It's a common complaint, but treatments do exist.

Tip 6: Don’t Forget your Body!

While it’s true that aging happens mostly on the thinner skin around the face, that doesn’t mean our bodies shouldn’t get any of the attention! Forgetting to moisturise and scrub your body may result in roughened skin – especially in winter or if we wear clothes that rub.

Make sure you set aside some pampering time for yourself after your shower. Pat yourself dry and warm up some body cream in your hands. Lather your skin by massaging the cream into your legs, arms, tummy, and waist. Finish off with your cleavage, shoulders, and neck. If you find yourself in a rush, opt for dry oils.
