Rated 2 out of 5 by from I love beauty sponges and this product really had potential - it has sharp edges so you can get right into the creases and a flat surface great for baking. HOWEVER - this sponge is so dense and so hard even when wet I felt like I was bashing my face... LOL. Real techniques have a beauty sponge that is so soft and really helps blend out your makeup. This sponge seemed to just pick up my foundation and move it around my face leaving streaks and I was so sad! I also trialled a L'Oreal foundation brush and I preferred that so much better. The foundation brush is in my everyday bag and just does such a quick job at applying foundation - definitely recommend that over the sponge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have always been a bit apprehensive about beauty blenders so tbh I never tried one. I popped my beauty blender cherry with this one and oh my word it's awesome! I might be biased (okay I definitely am) because this is my first but it is so easy to use. I had heard horror stories of beauty blenders soaking up all of your foundation or even falling apart after one use and if I'm honest I was confused. But the Infallible Foundation Blender is easy to use, doesn't soak up all my product, and helps create a smoother base than anything has before. It's so soft and easy to clean! I'm in love

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am a constant switcher between using a brush and a beauty blender to apply my makeup, but I must say this one holds its own at the top of my list. Unlike other beauty blender that have the flat side towards the bottom of the sponge this blender has it on the side. It makes it a lot easier to apply foundation/ concealer under my eyes without having to awkwardly hold the sponge.\nLike many other blenders the entire sponge is a little compact/ harder at first but its already becoming softer with use. \nThe design of the beauty blender was really really well done!\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If I’m honest, I’ve never used a beauty blender so it’s hard to compare it to anything, but I’ll happily compare it to a brush! \nIt comes in a simple box, well displayed. It is formed like a teardrop, with a flat edge to help get into those tighter areas. \nIt’s quite firm, nice and spongey and thick, so it doesn’t soak up to much product. \nIt blends foundation really well, it gives a really even, not clumpy coverage, and it doesn’t soak up much of the product at all which is really nice! \nI will definately be buying another one once this one is done with \n

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This blender sponge came with my L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow Foundation trial. While I loved the foundation I wasn't a huge fan of this sponge blender. While I usually love blenders and use my Chi Chi one everyday, this fell short of my expectations. While the sponge is a great shape, and the flat edge is a great idea as you can deposit your foundation before spreading it out, it is way too hard. As I was bouncing it on my face to blend, it felt really hard - like trying to blend with a hardboiled egg (and this is after soaking it in water multiple times!). I appreciate that L'Oreal was trying to prevent product absorption, but sadly it means that the sponge is too hard to use. I gave it 2 stars because it did blend my foundation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is not my favourite makeup sponge. I found it to be very hard and the shape a little peculiar to use. I generally only use a sponge to blend my concealer, opting for a buffing brush for my foundation, As the sponge was so dense, it was not very flexible and made it very difficult to blend under-eye concealer properly around the corner of the eye.  Admittedly, it blended the rest of my concealer just fine.\n\nAs my skin and foundation/concealer are very pale, the black sponge appeared very dirty very quickly which was a shame. Overall, for someone looking for a drugstore makeup sponge, I would recommend the orange Real Techniques sponge over this one every time. It is a few dollars cheaper and I find it to be much softer and easier to use.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The actual blender is a lovely tear drop shape with a flat side and precise pointy tip (hello inter corners)! Once the blender is damp, it was bouncy and soft. I prefer using a fuller coverage foundation, so I was excited to see how well this blender would work. Unfortunately it didn’t work to well, the foundation just say on top. I tried using a lighter foundation and it WORKED! It blended the foundation in nicely and looked flawless. The pointy tip can get right into small corners. Perfect for the inter corner of the eye, around the nose and between the brows. I will say, before using the blender. Make sure you give it a deep clean, it has have a waxy sort of feel to it however it works lovely for lighter foundations. I love the shape of this blender, it’s perfect! \n\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great sponge! It is certainly comparable to higher-end brands and while a bit dense, does excellent work when moistened. I would not recommend using this dry as it does absorb product but when wet, it is a dream. Good bounce, flawless foundation application and the flat edge gave good access to areas like the nose and eyes. However, it is not extremely soft, which I personally prefer. The black look is also quite lovely and luxe, and doesn't show stains after washing unlike lighter-coloured sponges

How To:
Festival Makeup with Noni Smith

The unicorn beauty trend might be getting lots of festival traction these days, but let’s not forget about the magical creature that kickstarted this whole otherworldly extravaganza in the first place – mermaids! If you’ve been looking for a way to bring a little blue makeup back into your life, you have come to the right place. Just in time for festival season, L’Oreal Paris Makeup Director Noni Smith has dreamed up a fantastic aqua mermaid makeup look that’ll give the unicorn trend a run for its money.

What you’ll need:

- Infallible Metallic Paint Eyeshadow in Diamond
- Infallible Paint Eyeshadow in Eternal White
- La Petite Mini Eyeshadow Palette Optimist
- Infallible Gel Liner in I’ve Got The Blue target="_blank" rel="noopener"
- Infallible Gel Liner in Vava Voum
- Paradise Kajal Liner
- L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Mascara

STEP 1: CREATE YOUR BASE

Apply the teal shade from La Petite Mini Eyeshadow Palette Optimist to your lid, buffing the edges out so colour is visible when the eye is open. Layer a darker shade along the lash line, softening the edges.

STEP 2: BLUE FLAMES
Outline the flame pattern using Infallible Gel Liner in I’ve Got The Blue and Vava Voum, creating contrast between the darker and lighter colours. Use the dark blue to lift the outer corners of the eyes and the light blue to draw attention to the brow bone.

STEP 3: LINE YOUR EYES

Define your eyes with a thin line of Paradise Kajal Liner on your upper and lower lash lines. Extend the upper lash line outwards into a slight wing.

STEP 4: SPARKLE TIME

Using a mix of Infallible Paint Eyeshadow, add depth and drama to your eye makeup. Open up the inner corners with a dash of Eternal White shimmer and add two downward streaks of Infinite Blue on your lower lash line. Lend your lids some extra sparkle with Diamond and Infinite Blue.

STEP 5: LASH DRAMA
Grab your Volume Million Mascara and coat your bottom lashes before moving on to the top. Voila!

Autumn Makeup:
Trends To Try

It's a shame to bid farewell to summer, but fortunately with each new season comes a bevy of new trends and colour palettes to play with. Now's the time to embrace plummy lipsticks, metallic finishes and sumptuous shadows. Discover all the makeup inspiration you need with our top picks for the season.

Moody Eyes
Autumn heralds the return of golden leaves, grey skies and... smokey eyes. Whether it's a creamy latte shade or a rich burgundy, there's something inherently flattering about deeper hues.
Layer burgundy into your crease and blend in some espresso shade drama with the La Petite Palettes in Nudist, creating the perfect autumn eye look.

Sculpted Brows
Nothing says sophistication like a perfectly arched brow. Perfect yours in a flash with Unbelieva’brow, our latest long-wear brow gel with a dual-ended brush.
Fill and sculpt with the angled brush, then comb through with the spoolie for a natural finish. A major perk of the product is that it's waterproof, smudge-proof and budge-proof... and lasts up to two days!

Cat Eyes
Make a statement this season with a bold winged eyeliner. Not only does this look turn heads, it helps make your eyes appear bigger.
If you have a love-hate relationship with the glossy ink, Flash Cat Eye Liner may be your new BFF. With the detachable stencil, you get the perfect wing every time. No more smudges, shaky lines, or uneven flicks.

Lush Lips

With the rest of your look bringing the drama, it's time to pare it back on the lipstick front. Perfect your pout with a swatch of blush nude - we recommend Incessant Russet or Invincible Sable from our Infallible 2-Step collection.

Summer Beauty 101:
5 Summer Beauty Fixes

As much as we love summer, the sweltering heat brings on a whole host of beauty concerns. As well as melting makeup and out-of-control frizz, it tends to be the season in which skin problems flare up. Think oily spots, blackheads, sunburn and more. But summer is too fun to spend time stressing. Simply add these products to your beauty arsenal and address your beauty woes in style.

PROBLEM 1:
Fretting over the frizz
SOLUTION:
The heat has gone to your head—literally—and now your dry strands are soaking up moisture from humid air, causing them to swell and frizz. Grab our Botanicals Reparative Camelina Smoothing Frizz Antidote, which nourishes and protects hair with Camelina and Coconut Oil whilst taming rebellious fly-aways. Adding a weekly intensive treatment to your hair routine like the Camelina Smoothing Mask will also keep your locks hydrated.

PROBLEM 2:
Blemishes be gone
SOLUTION:
Heat and humidity in summer tend to wreak havoc leaving skin congested with dirt, oil and sunscreen. Use our Pure Clay Red Algae Exfoliating Face Scrub to clear away dead skin cells and refine pores. Salicylic acid and pure clay will draw out impurities leaving skin feeling renewed.

PROBLEM 3:
Shiny, not so happy
SOLUTION:
It’s steaming up outside and your sweat glands are in overdrive, making your complexion super slick. Look for formulas labelled ‘oil-free’, ‘mattifying’ or ‘anti-shine’ to nix any sheen and help your makeup stay put for longer. Also, choose a matte finish foundation, such as Infallible Matte 24HR to avoid a shiny summer complexion.

PROBLEM 4:
Desert dryness
SOLUTION:
UV exposure, air-con and dry heat all make for a very parched complexion. Hyaluronic Acid is the critical ingredient you need to make skin plump and radiant once again. Although it sounds complicated, the body actually makes it naturally already, though as we get older this slows down. Our Revitalift range with Hyaluronic Acid will boost and reboot skin to get that youthful glow back.

PROBLEM 5: Can’t tan, won’t tan
SOLUTION: The goody two shoes among us will know, sun damaged skin is an absolute no-no. Not only is there a serious risk of skin cancer but the sun is also incredibly ageing. So, it’s time to up the ante on your SPF each and every day with our Revitalift SPF15 Day Cream. Don’t worry, you won’t miss out on a suntan either. Back to Bronze will have you glowing like you’ve just arrived back from holiday.
