Rated 4 out of 5 by from I kindly received this range of hair care to trial from beauty crew.\nMy first thoughts where I'd this was going to smell like coriander, and it doesn't! I notice the scent to be a kind of fresh scent.\nMy hair can also be prone to some oiliness in the scalp, I was pleasantly surprised that this shampoo helped to balance it also, giving me a decent 2-3 days before it felt oily.\nThis range isn't as natural as the botanical packaging might make the product appear (there is still SLS, amongst other ingredients) however if that doesn't worry you I think it's a decent range.\n

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I tried this shampoo while looking for a new one and liked the recommendations by beauty crew testers. I was not disappointed, I loved the bottle for a start, it looks expensive and the pump action is great for delivering the right amount of product and for not creating mess in the shower. this is a high quality shampoo that lathers really well and I didnt need to use a lot. Used in conjunction with the matching conditioner it delivers super shiny, smooth, well conditioned hair. The herbal fragrance is lovely and my hair did feel stronger and healthier after using it for a while, as I style and colour my hair a lot I need a product that moisturises and protects, this range did that well. This is a great quality shampoo that I highly recommend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was sent some sachets of the safflower sampoo, its lovely and thick and easy to use the purfume is not overpowering but leaves a nice sent all in all im pleased with it and would use again.  I have also had the softening ointment to trial, i was a little disappointed with this though, it was nice and thick when it came out but once washed off did not seem to make my hair soft but hard to brush, once i dried my hair though my hair did feel soft i think maybe i would need a little more than a sachet to trial as i have quite thick hair

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This shampoo comes in a tall plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The plastic is thick and sturdy, it doesn't look or feel flimsy. The packaging reminds me of a luxury body lotion. The shampoo is quite thick but lathers well. I was a bit hesitant that it would be coriander scented, but I had nothing to worry about. The scent is not overpowering, it's actually quite refreshing and calming.\n\nI did find that as usual, there was quite a bit of hair breakage and it left my hair feeling a little course, this is what most shampoo does to me though. I always need to condition afterwards for that smooth tresses feeling.\n\nIt is very exciting to see L'Oreal come out with this range. I would however like to try the other products within the botanical range.\n

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This product really did as it suggested it would- my hair felt stronger and I definitely noticed less "malting". The coriander range has an interesting, almost grassy herbalness to the scent, that takes a bit of getting used to, but is actually really refreshing. The shampoo lathered well and left my hair squeaky clean. The packaging of the range is a gorgeous combination of green and brown which makes for a soothing addition in the shower. It's also nice to know you aren't soaking your hair in more chemicals- added bonus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This is my least favorite product in the range due the to the ingredients. It proudly says silicone, paraben and colourant free but it has SLS as the 2nd main ingredient which is a "nasty" chemical which is a big disappointment for me.\n\nIt comes in a pump bottle which is sensible for shampoo as you can easily control the amount of the product that will be used. It has that nice therapeutic scent like the rest of the range. It feels very lightweight but doesn't help much with untangling the knots on your hair. It does make my hair really shiny and I got lots of compliments when I use the products in the range. I like the performance but I wish that it's SLS free to make its claim more truthful. A little goes a long want and with the generous bottle, I'm sure it will last me for months.\n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fresh and clean is how this shampoo left my hair feeling. The scent is lovely and subtle, without the intense chemical or perfume scent that cna be found in other brands. Althouh the shampoo didn't work any magic on my hair, it definitely gave it a good clean and left it feeling soft. I really like the packaging on this product, in particular the pump on thr bottle which makes it so easy to dispense just the right amount of product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was pleasantly surprised with this shampoo. Love the packaging, love the fresh fragrance as I really wasn't sure what to expect of a coriander shampoo! (I don't like eating coriander) The shampoo leaves my hair feeling nice and clean so that is a big tick considering I have an oily scalp and I wash my hair every day. Reason why I am not giving this 5 stars is because I haven't noticed less breakage with my hair.

Top 5 ways To Use A Hair Oil

Not sure how to handle hair oils? Don’t worry, we'll show you how to use them—even on fine hair.

HOW TO USE HAIR OIL

1. PRE-SHAMPOO TREATMENT
Our tresses go through a lot on a daily basis— everything from hot water to straightening can leave hair feeling brittle and parched. Try using hair oil as a pre-shampoo prep. Moisturising the strands before washing will help it retain its natural oils. Just add an extra step of applying hair oil before you shower and follow with shampoo and conditioner as usual. We promise, you’ll see the difference.

2. LIGHTWEIGHT SHINE
When you have fine hair, it’s easy to tip over into heavy handed territory with styling products. Unfortunately, doing so weighs hair down and gives it an overly oily sheen. Instead of piling on the products, apply a coin-sized amount of hair oil onto dry ends, steering clear of your roots. This way, you can enjoy silky shine without the added weight.

3. BLOWOUT PREP
It’s hard to get your at-home blowouts to match salon styled waves. While it may well be because the hairdryer is a finicky tool to master, there are other secret tricks of the trade to elevate your DIY look. The easiest hack is to add hair oil into the mix (and a heat protectant). Apply to damp hair and blow-dry with a round brush. Finish with a spritz of lightweight hair spray to lock in that smooth shine!

4. TAME FRIZZ
If you’re a victim of hat hair or the dreaded humid hair poof, you’re definitely not alone. Unruly hair plagues us all from time to time, but thankfully hair oil can help tame frizz and flyaways. Rub one to two pumps of hair oil between your palms, running it through the lengths of your hair. Once you only have a tiny amount left, smooth it over the top of your scalp – enough to keep any fine baby hairs in place but not so much that it looks greasy.

5. SPLIT END PROTECTION
Although a trim is the only real solution for eliminating split ends (for now), you can still help protect your strands on a daily basis with a dash of hair oil. Incorporating it as part of your regular hair care routine could make all the difference in delaying your next visit to the salon. Put it on wet or dry hair—both work!

Everything You Need To Know About
Purple Shampoo

We may never really know if blondes have more fun. Nevertheless, whether you’re bottle blonde or naturally blessed, you know there’s a fair bit of upkeep involved to keep the good times rolling. The key to keep your hair hues looking icy? A purple shampoo.

What is purple shampoo?
It’s exactly what it says on the bottle. A shampoo with purple pigments that keep brassy undertones at bay. Consider it your DIY tune-up to keep your new hue looking flawless for longer.

How does purple shampoo work?
While the concept of purple shampoo might sound a little crazy, it all comes back to colour theory. Purple is directly opposite yellow on the colour wheel, so the purple pigments neutralises any unwanted yellows brought out by things like sun or heat styling. While it won’t actually change the colour of your hair, it addresses the tone and nixes the brassiness. It’s basically your at-home toner.

How does purple shampoo fit in my routine?
Coloured shampoos should be used in conjunction with your regular shampoo and conditioning routine instead of replacing them entirely. If you're washing your hair thrice a week, introduce purple shampoo for the fourth wash. Overdoing the purple shampoo can leave hair colour looking dull and drap, which is the opposite of what you want!
All-over blondes will find the top of the hair more golden than the ends, so we recommend applying a concentrated amount of purple at the crown and letting it run out as you lather and rinse. The ends will catch the colour (they don't need as much anyway), so let it drizzle through.

Do I need purple shampoo?
Blonde hair does need more maintainence, but purple shampoo works across the colour spectrum. Dark hair is more prone to brassiness due to the amount of melanin it has, so brunettes will find purple shampoo surprisingly useful to get rid of those warm hues.

Where do I find purple shampoo?
Right here. Meet the brand NEW Elvive Anti-Brassiness Purple Shampoo, designed to hydrate, tone and revive coloured hair.
