A top model by the age of twenty and a successful actress by forty, Andie MacDowell has had a flawless career and still finds time in her busy schedule to be a spokesmodel for L'Oréal Paris.
HER CAREER
As a model with theatre training, Andie made her movie debut as Tarzan’s girlfriend in 'Greystoke'. Her first major leading role was in 'Sex, Lies and Videotapes' which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1989. This groundbreaking performance also led to a Los Angeles Film Critics Award for Best Actress and a nomination for a Golden Globe. Andie’s next role was opposite Gérard Depardieu in 'Green Card' and in 1993 she received a second Golden Globe nomination for her performance in 'Groundhog Day'. But it was in 1994 that Andie became a worldwide star thanks to the success of the British Comedy 'Four Weddings and a Funeral.'
Throughout her career, Andie has worked with top actors such as Michael Keaton, John Travolta, Andy Garcia and Bill Pullman, as well as having the good fortune to have been directed by some of the industry's best including Robert Altman, Diane Keaton, Harold Ramis and Wim Wenders.
Recently, Andie has acted in Elie Chouraqui’s 'Harrison's Flowers' and John McKay’s romantic comedy 'Crush', as well as appearing in a hilarious cameo in 'Town & Country' with Warren Beatty and Diane Keaton.
A mother of three, Andie feels most at home in the countryside, surrounded by her family.
