Pollination Australia

The fight to save Australia’s honeybee population is increasingly important.

This is why after the recent launch of Elvive Re-Nutrition, a haircare range containing bee-produced Royal Jelly, L’Oréal Paris has been inspired to become involved in the fight for the nation’s honeybees. L’Oréal Paris supports the beekeeping community in partnership with Pollination Australia to protect the bees and ensure the continuity of their environment.

Australian honeybees are under serious threat from a mite known as Varroa Mite which has seriously affected honeybee populations wherever it goes. Varroa Mite has not been detected in Australia yet, but has been found as close as New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The consequent impact of the mite reaching Australia is predicted to cause significant impact on the environment and Australia’s agriculture sector.

L’Oréal Paris proudly donated $50,000 to further research into honeybees and pollination in Australia which is in addition to numerous commitments made by the brand internationally.
