How to achieve the ‘Smokey Eye’ effect
How to achieve the ‘Smokey Eye’ effect
Make sure your face is well moisturised before starting, by using a L’Oréal Paris moisturiser such as Youthcode Luminosity Day Cream . Then apply L’Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Highlighter on your lids and under eye area to illuminate the eye contour area. Even out your complexion using a L’Oréal Paris foundation of your choice and a light dusting of True Match Blush to give a flush to your cheeks.
Take L’Oréal Paris Contour Khôl Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black and apply around your eyes, close to the lash line then on the lids and underneath the eye.
Apply L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in 14 Eternal Black if you want a more subtle smokey eye. Then blend below the eye first then on the lids. Work the shadow up and out and blend well to make sure the colour almost disappears at the crease. Add more powder if needed, but keep the intense colour near your lashes.
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Eyeshadow in 02 Hourglass Beige is the perfect highlighter to use on the inner corner of your eye, as it will brighten the eye area perfectly.
Finish with lashings of your favourite L’Oréal Paris Mascara. For a more defined look, use Telescopic Clean Definition but at night, Mega Volume Collagen Mascara will finish the show-stopping look perfectly.
Remember – Smokey eyes don’t have to be black. Other deep colours, such as dark green, purple or navy blue can be less harsh than black and just as striking.
