L’ORÉAL, THE CITIZEN
Philanthropy and environmental excellence
As a company that believes in good corporate citizenship, L’Oréal adheres to exemplary standards of business ethics. We aim to be an authentic example in terms of sustainable development, notably through excellence in our environmental performance and philanthropic initiatives.
In each of the over 130 countries where we are present, we support projects that reflect the values we have upheld for almost a century that contribute to the wider community through philanthropy and long-term partnerships. These local initiatives reflect our longstanding dedication to such worthy causes as promoting women in science, community solidarity and educational opportunity. These initiatives include:
FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE
L'Oréal's 'For Women in Science' program recognises and rewards female scientists around the world for their outstanding scientific research. The programme, established in 1998, has assisted over 1,000 women, forming an unprecedented global community of women scientists. The 'For Women in Science' program has three tiers, including the L'Oréal Australia 'For Women in Science' Fellowships. L'Oréal Australia partners with the Australian Academy of Science and the Australian national Commission for UNESCO.

As a Premium Partner, L'Oréal Paris will directly support the appointment of the L'Oréal Paris Research Fellow Dr Simon Chu who joins the world class OCRF research team investigating an early detection test.
